أكدت الشرطة البريطانية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، إصابة أربعة رجال في حادثة طعن وقعت بمنطقة كوفنت غاردن وسط العاصمة البريطانية لندن.
وأوضحت الشرطة أنها تلقت البلاغ عن حادثة الطعن نحو الساعة 12:27 ظهراً بالتوقيت المحلي، حيث عثر عناصرها على أربعة رجال، تتراوح أعمارهم بين 34 و39 و42 و52 عاماً، مصابين بجروح ناجمة عن الطعن، وجرى تقييم حالتهم في موقع الحادثة، موضحة أن المشتبه بها أُوقفت في موقع الحادثة للاشتباه في حيازتها سلاحاً هجومياً وارتكاب اعتداء، ولا تزال رهن الاحتجاز.
وأفادت بأن عناصرها ضبطت مقصاً يُعتقد أنه مرتبط بالحادثة، دون الكشف حتى الآن عن الدافع وراء الهجوم أو طبيعة العلاقة بينها وبين المصابين. وأشارت الشرطة إلى أنه في هذه المرحلة المبكرة من التحقيق، يُعتقد أن الحادثة مرتبطة بأزمة تتعلق بالصحة النفسية.
وذكرت مصادر إعلامية بريطانية أن الشرطة ألقت القبض على امرأة تبلغ من العمر 47 عاماً للاشتباه في حيازتها سلاحاً. وفرضت الشرطة طوقاً أمنياً حول موقع الحادثة في شارع إنديل بمنطقة كوفنت غاردن، فيما انتشر عناصرها في المكان لتأمين المنطقة وتسهيل عمل فرق الإسعاف.
وأوضحت خدمة إسعاف لندن، أنها تلقت البلاغ في الساعة 12:29 ظهراً، وأرسلت طواقم إسعاف، ومسعفاً في سيارة استجابة سريعة، وضابطاً للاستجابة للحوادث، إضافة إلى مروحية إسعاف، مبينة أن المسعفين قدموا العلاج للمصابين الأربعة في موقع الحادثة، قبل نقلهم جميعاً على وجه السرعة براً إلى مركز متخصص في علاج الإصابات البالغة.

They reported that their officers seized a knife believed to be linked to the incident, without disclosing the motive behind the attack or the nature of the relationship between the suspect and the victims. The police indicated that at this early stage of the investigation, it is believed that the incident is related to a mental health crisis.
British media sources reported that the police arrested a 47-year-old woman on suspicion of possessing a weapon. The police established a security cordon around the scene of the incident on Endell Street in the Covent Garden area, while their officers spread throughout the area to secure it and facilitate the work of the ambulance teams.
The London Ambulance Service stated that they received the report at 12:29 PM and dispatched ambulance crews, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, and an incident response officer, in addition to an air ambulance. They indicated that the paramedics provided treatment to the four injured individuals at the scene before swiftly transporting them by land to a specialized center for treating serious injuries.
