The coach of Al-Taawoun, Vuk Razovic, expressed his regret for his team's loss to Al-Qadisiyah by a score of one goal to none, in the tenth round of the Saudi Roshan League, confirming that injuries disrupted his plans, despite the players' success in implementing the required defensive organization.
In response to a question from "Okaz" about Al-Taawoun's absence from victories in the league for 13 matches, compared to their results and performances in the Asian competition, Vuk said: "We could have spoken differently if we had capitalized on the opportunities tonight, if Ashraf had continued playing, and if we hadn't conceded that goal. But I agree with you, we lost points, and we will work to return to winning ways."
Regarding the match events, he explained: "We set a specific style to face Al-Qadisiyah, and we knew what we needed in terms of defensive organization, and we succeeded in applying it. In the second half, we were better than the opponent, but unfortunately, we couldn't score."
He added: "We faced difficulties from the start of the match, and we had to substitute players due to injuries, and then the problems escalated with Ashraf's injury in the 93rd minute, which the opponent took advantage of to score."
Vuk congratulated Al-Qadisiyah on their victory, saying: "Al-Qadisiyah is a strong team and was the better side, and I take this opportunity to urge our players to continue working with the spirit they showed today."
Regarding the reasons for the injuries, he pointed to the possibility of them being related to accumulated physical fatigue, confirming that their nature will become clear after reviewing with the medical staff and conducting examinations tomorrow.
As for the altercation between Ashraf and Hamdallah, he said: "I don't know the reason for it, but I consider such discussions positive when they aim to help the team perform better. I understand the agitation in this context, and I prefer it over cold nerves and a lack of sense of responsibility."
