It is worth mentioning that the Saudi national team qualified for the final of the Arabian Gulf Cup "Gulf 27" after defeating the Qatari national team in a penalty shootout (3-2) in the match held at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, as part of the semi-final round.
The match witnessed a balance in performance between the two teams during the two original halves, which ended in a goalless draw, despite the exchanged attempts to reach the net. The draw extended into the extra halves, which also did not witness any goals, leading both teams to a penalty shootout to determine who would qualify for the final match.
The Saudi national team succeeded in clinching the match from the penalty spot with a score of (3-2), reaching the final match and continuing its journey towards competing for the Gulf title.
With this result, the Saudi national team will meet in the final match next Tuesday with the winner of the match between the Emirati and Omani teams, which will be played at Prince Abdullah bin Faisal Sports City in Jeddah, as part of the semi-final round of the tournament.
