أكد لاعب المنتخب السعودي محمد أبو الشامات جاهزيته للمشاركة في مواجهة العراق، مشددًا على أن لاعبي الأخضر سيدخلون اللقاء بهدف تحقيق الفوز، وتقديم كل ما لديهم من أجل إسعاد الجماهير السعودية.
وقال أبو الشامات خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الذي يسبق المباراة: «ندخل المباراة من أجل الانتصار، خصوصاً أننا سنلعب أمام جماهيرنا، وسنعمل على حصد النقاط الثلاث وإسعاد الجمهور».
وعن جاهزيته بعد الإصابة، رد أبو الشامات: «الإصابة لم تغيّر من طموحه أو رغبته في تقديم أفضل ما لديه، مبيناً أنه يواصل العمل بصورة يومية للوصول إلى كامل جاهزيته».
وتحدث أبو الشامات عن التحدي الذي ينتظر الأخضر وطموح اللاعبين في المنافسة على اللقب، قائلاً: «التحدي كبير، وبمشيئة الله نظهر بالمستوى المطلوب، وتأكدوا أننا سنقدم 100% من مجهودنا، وسنبذل كل ما لدينا».
وتابع: «الجماهير سترى منا كل ما نستطيع تقديمه، سواء حققنا البطولة أم لم نحققها، لكن هدفنا وطموحنا هو تحقيق البطولة بمشيئة الله».
وشدد في ختام حديثه على أن لاعبي المنتخب يدركون حجم المسؤولية، مؤكداً أن الجميع عازم على بذل أقصى ما لديه داخل الملعب من أجل تحقيق النتائج المرجوة ومواصلة مشوار الأخضر نحو اللقب.

Regarding his readiness after the injury, Abu Al-Shamat responded: "The injury did not change my ambition or desire to give my best, indicating that he continues to work daily to reach full readiness."
Abu Al-Shamat spoke about the challenge awaiting the Green Team and the players' ambition to compete for the title, saying: "The challenge is great, and God willing, we will show the required level. Rest assured that we will give 100% of our effort, and we will do everything we have."
He added: "The fans will see everything we can offer, whether we win the championship or not, but our goal and ambition is to achieve the championship, God willing."
