تلقى النصر خسارة ثقيلة من مضيفه العين الإماراتي بأربعة أهداف دون مقابل، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على ملعب هزاع بن زايد بمدينة العين الإماراتية، في افتتاحية الجولة الأولى من دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة.
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية للعين مستغلاً عاملَي الأرض والجمهور، وكاد حسين رحيمي أن يحرز هدفاً مبكراً، لكن العارضة وقفت لكرته بالمرصاد، ورد النصر برأسية رائعة من إينيغو مارتينيز لكن الحارس خالد عيسى تصدى لها ببراعة.
وجاء هدف العين الأول عن طريق حسين رحيمي، بعد أن استغل خطأً دفاعياً من سعد الناصر الذي أعاد الكرة للحارس نواف العقيدي، لكن رحيمي كان أسرع ليخطف الكرة ويسكنها في الشباك هدفاً أول للعين (د:25).
وفي الشوط الثاني، أضاف العين هدفه الثاني عن طريق حسين رحيمي بعد متابعته عرضية زميله كاكو ليسكنها الشباك (د:63)، وعاد كاكو لاعب التعاون السابق للتألق مجدداً ليصنع هدفاً آخر بعد تمريرة ذكية لزميله سفيان رحيمي الذي كسر مصيدة التسلل وسدد الكرة في المرمى هدفاً ثالث للعين (د:72)، واختتم البديل جيورجيوس جياكوماكيس مسلسل الأهداف بتسجيله الهدف الرابع (د:85)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز العين على النصر بأربعة أهداف دون مقابل.
وبهذه النتيجة يحصد العين أول ثلاث نقاط، فيما تلقى النصر خسارته الأولى وبقي دون نقاط.
Al-Nasr suffered a heavy defeat from its host Al-Ain, with four goals to none, in the match held at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in the city of Al-Ain, UAE, in the opening round of the AFC Champions League.
The match witnessed a strong start from Al-Ain, taking advantage of the home ground and the crowd. Hussein Rahimi almost scored an early goal, but the crossbar denied his shot, and Al-Nasr responded with a brilliant header from Inigo Martinez, but goalkeeper Khalid Issa saved it excellently.
The first goal for Al-Ain came from Hussein Rahimi, who capitalized on a defensive error from Saad Al-Nasser, who passed the ball back to goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqeedi. However, Rahimi was quicker to intercept the ball and put it in the net, scoring the first goal for Al-Ain (25th minute).
In the second half, Al-Ain added its second goal through Hussein Rahimi, who followed up on a cross from his teammate Kaku to find the back of the net (63rd minute). Kaku, the former Al-Taawoun player, shone again by assisting another goal with a clever pass to his teammate Sofiane Rahimi, who broke the offside trap and shot the ball into the net for Al-Ain's third goal (72nd minute). Substitute Giorgos Giakoumakis capped off the scoring spree by netting the fourth goal (85th minute), ending the match with Al-Ain defeating Al-Nasr by four goals to none.
With this result, Al-Ain collects its first three points, while Al-Nasr suffers its first defeat and remains without points.
