صادقت شركة النادي الأهلي رسمياً على انفراد «عكاظ»، بإعلانها إنهاء العلاقة التعاقدية مع المدير الرياضي البرتغالي روي بيدرو بالتراضي، وتكليف أسامة هوساوي بمهمة المدير الرياضي مؤقتاً، في خطوة تعيد ترتيب المشهد الرياضي داخل النادي خلال المرحلة القادمة.
وكانت «عكاظ» قد انفردت، قبل صدور البيان الرسمي، بالكشف عن قرار شركة الأهلي إنهاء العلاقة التعاقدية مع روي بيدرو، وتولي هوساوي مهمات الإدارة الرياضية بصورة مؤقتة إلى حين تعيين مدير رياضي جديد.
وجاء الإعلان الأهلاوي ليؤكد ما نشرته «عكاظ»، إذ أوضح النادي اتفاقه مع بيدرو على إنهاء عمله مديراً رياضياً اعتباراً من اليوم، مقدماً شكره للبرتغالي على الفترة التي قضاها مع الفريق، فيما قرر تكليف هوساوي، مساعد المدير الرياضي السابق، بالمهمة مؤقتاً.
وسبق لـ«عكاظ» أن كشفت أيضاً حالة امتعاض بين عدد من لاعبي الفريق تجاه بيدرو، على خلفية ما اعتبروه تدخلات متكررة في بعض الأمور الفنية والإدارية، وسط رغبة لدى عدد منهم في إبعاده وإعادة ترتيب الأوضاع داخل الفريق.
ويفتح رحيل بيدرو الباب أمام مرحلة جديدة في الأهلي، يتصدرها ملف اختيار المدير الرياضي الجديد، في وقت ينتظر فيه الأهلاويون تحركات تعيد الاستقرار للمنظومة الرياضية وتلبي احتياجات الفريق الفنية خلال المرحلة القادمة.
The Al-Ahli Club officially confirmed to "Okaz" that it has mutually agreed to terminate the contractual relationship with the Portuguese sports director Rui Pedro, and has temporarily assigned Osama Hawsawi to the role of sports director, in a move that rearranges the sports scene within the club for the upcoming phase.
"Okaz" had previously revealed, before the official statement was issued, the decision of the Al-Ahli Company to end the contractual relationship with Rui Pedro, and for Hawsawi to take on the responsibilities of sports management temporarily until a new sports director is appointed.
The announcement from Al-Ahli confirmed what "Okaz" had reported, as the club clarified its agreement with Pedro to end his role as sports director effective today, expressing gratitude to the Portuguese for the time he spent with the team, while deciding to temporarily assign Hawsawi, the former assistant sports director, to the task.
"Okaz" had also previously revealed a sense of dissatisfaction among several players towards Pedro, due to what they considered repeated interventions in some technical and administrative matters, with a desire among some of them to remove him and reorganize the situation within the team.
Pedro's departure opens the door to a new phase at Al-Ahli, with the selection of a new sports director being a top priority, at a time when the Al-Ahli supporters are awaiting moves that restore stability to the sports system and meet the team's technical needs in the upcoming phase.
