أكد رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم السابق ياسر المسحل لـ«عكاظ» أن نتائج المنتخب السعودي الأول تمثل أحد أبرز التحديات أمام مجلس الإدارة الجديد برئاسة بدر الرزيزاء، مشيراً إلى أن الجمهور الرياضي يتطلع دائماً إلى النتائج وما يحققه «الأخضر» على أرض الملعب.
ورداً على سؤال «عكاظ» بشأن أبرز التحديات والملفات التي ستنتقل إلى الإدارة الجديدة، قال المسحل: «دائماً التحدي الأكبر هو النتائج، والجمهور الرياضي ينظر في المقام الأول إلى نتائج المنتخب الأول».
وأشار إلى وصول المنتخب السعودي إلى المركز الـ58 في التصنيف الدولي، مؤكداً أن ذلك لا يلبي حجم الطموحات، وأن العمل خلال المرحلة القادمة يتطلب تهيئة الظروف كافة أمام المنتخب لتحقيق نتائج أفضل.
وأضاف: «أتمنى لمجلس الإدارة الجديد التوفيق، وأن يبذلوا جهداً مضاعفاً لتهيئة جميع الظروف للمنتخب الأول، حتى يحقق بإذن الله النتائج التي نتطلع إليها».
ودعا المسحل الجماهير والوسط الرياضي إلى دعم مجلس الإدارة الجديد ومنحه الوقت والثقة للقيام بمهماته، قائلاً: «الأهم أن نصبر عليهم وندعمهم ونعطيهم الثقة، وإن شاء الله يحققون النتائج المأمولة».
وشدد المسحل على أن الطموح تجاه المنتخب السعودي سيظل مرتفعاً، وأن تحقيق النتائج والتقدم إلى مراكز أفضل يمثلان هدفاً يتطلع إليه الجميع خلال المرحلة القادمة.

In response to "Okaz's" question about the most significant challenges and files that will be transferred to the new administration, Al-Mashel said: "The biggest challenge is always the results, and sports fans primarily look at the results of the national team."
He pointed out that the Saudi national team has reached the 58th position in the international ranking, emphasizing that this does not meet the level of aspirations, and that the work during the upcoming phase requires creating all the necessary conditions for the team to achieve better results.
He added: "I wish the new board of directors success, and that they make a concerted effort to prepare all the conditions for the national team, so that they can achieve, God willing, the results we aspire to."
Al-Mashel called on fans and the sports community to support the new board of directors and give them time and trust to carry out their tasks, saying: "The most important thing is that we be patient with them, support them, and give them our trust, and hopefully they will achieve the desired results."
Al-Mashel emphasized that the ambition for the Saudi national team will remain high, and that achieving results and advancing to better positions represent a goal that everyone looks forward to in the upcoming phase.
