تلقى مدرب فريق الاتحاد ضربة موجعة قبل مواجهة فريق الجزيرة الإماراتي، (الثلاثاء) القادم، الساعة 7:00 مساءً، على استاد محمد بن زايد في أبوظبي، وذلك ضمن الملحق المؤهل إلى دوري أبطال آسيا لأندية النخبة، بإصابة اللاعب البرتغالي روجر فرنانديز بقطع في الرباط الصليبي الأمامي للركبة اليسرى خلال الحصة التدريبية للفريق أمس (السبت).
وأوضح نادي الاتحاد أن الفحوصات الطبية التي خضع لها روجر فرنانديز في أحد المراكز الطبية الكبرى بجدة كشفت إصابته بقطع في الرباط الصليبي الأمامي للركبة اليسرى.
ويعمل الجهاز الطبي في نادي الاتحاد حالياً على استكمال الترتيبات اللازمة لإجراء العملية الجراحية للاعب خلال الأيام القليلة القادمة.
ومن المقرر أن يبدأ روجر فرنانديز برنامجه العلاجي والتأهيلي عقب إجراء العملية، وفق الخطة الطبية المعدة من أجل عودته إلى الملاعب.
