دخل إسماعيلا سار سجلات الكرة السنغالية من أوسع أبوابها، بعدما أصبح الهداف التاريخي لمنتخب السنغال في كأس العالم بالمناصفة مع الأسطورة الراحل بابا بوبا ديوب، برصيد 3 أهداف لكل منهما.
وجاء إنجاز سار خلال مواجهة السنغال أمام النرويج في كأس العالم 2026، حيث سجل هدفين وأكد دوره كأحد أبرز نجوم «أسود التيرانغا» في البطولة.
ويُعد بابا بوبا ديوب صاحب أول هدف للسنغال في تاريخ مشاركاتها بكأس العالم، عندما هز شباك فرنسا في مونديال 2002، قبل أن ينجح سار بعد أكثر من عقدين في معادلة رقمه التاريخي.
ورغم صعوبة مشوار السنغال في النسخة الحالية، فإن سار واصل التألق على المستوى الفردي، ليكتب اسمه إلى جانب أحد أبرز رموز الكرة السنغالية في سجل هدافي المونديال.
Ismaïla Sarr entered the records of Senegalese football through the widest doors, after becoming the all-time top scorer for the Senegal national team in the World Cup, tied with the late legend Papa Bouba Diop, with a total of 3 goals each.
Sarr achieved this feat during Senegal's match against Norway in the 2026 World Cup, where he scored two goals and confirmed his role as one of the standout stars of the "Lions of Teranga" in the tournament.
Papa Bouba Diop is known for scoring the first goal for Senegal in the history of their World Cup participation, when he found the net against France in the 2002 World Cup, before Sarr managed to equal his historic record after more than two decades.
Despite the challenging journey for Senegal in the current edition, Sarr continued to shine on an individual level, writing his name alongside one of the most prominent symbols of Senegalese football in the World Cup scoring records.
