هنأ مدرب الفراعنة حسام حسن الشعب المصري بعد أول فوز في تاريخه ببطولة كأس العالم، إثر تغلبه على نظيره النيوزيلندي بنتيجة (3-1)، ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية من مباريات المجموعة السابعة في نهائيات كأس العالم 2026 المقامة في الولايات المتحدة وكندا والمكسيك.
وقال: «أبارك للشعب المصري هذا الفوز الثمين، الذي من خلاله قطعنا شوطا كبيرا للتأهل إلى الدور الثاني من المونديال»، وأضاف: «أشكر اللاعبين على المستوى الكبير في المباراة والتزامهم بتطبيق التكتيك المطلوب منهم داخل أرضية الملعب، وإصرارهم على تحقيق الفوز».
يذكر أن هذا الفوز سيمنح المنتخب المصري دفعة معنوية كبيرة قبل خوض الجولة الثالثة والأخيرة من دور المجموعات، في سعيه لبلوغ الدور ثمن النهائي للمرة الأولى في تاريخه، حيث يتصدر ترتيب المجموعة السابعة برصيد 4 نقاط من مباراتين، متقدما على بلجيكا وإيران بنقطتين لكل منهما، فيما يتذيل منتخب نيوزيلندا الترتيب برصيد نقطة واحدة.
The Pharaohs' coach, Hossam Hassan, congratulated the Egyptian people after their first-ever victory in the World Cup, following their win against New Zealand with a score of (3-1) in the second round of matches in Group G of the 2026 World Cup held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
He said: "I congratulate the Egyptian people on this precious victory, which has taken us a significant step towards qualifying for the second round of the World Cup." He added: "I thank the players for their great performance in the match and their commitment to applying the tactics required of them on the field, as well as their determination to achieve victory."
It is worth mentioning that this victory will give the Egyptian team a significant morale boost before entering the third and final round of the group stage, in their quest to reach the Round of 16 for the first time in their history. They currently lead Group G with 4 points from two matches, ahead of Belgium and Iran by two points each, while New Zealand sits at the bottom of the table with one point.
