وافتتح الأخضر السعودي مشواره في بطولة كأس العالم 2026 بتحقيق نقطة ثمينة وأداء مميز أمام أوروغواي بهدف لمثله، ضمن منافسات المجموعة الثامنة من المونديال.
وفي المجموعة ذاتها، وقع المنتخب الإسباني في فخ التعادل السلبي مع الرأس الأخضر، ليحصد كل منتخب في المجموعة نقطة واحدة بعد خوض منافسات الجولة الأولى.
قطر تنتزع أول نقطة مونديالية
وفي المجموعة الثانية، حصد منتخب قطر أول نقطة مونديالية في مشاركته الثانية بالبطولة، بعدما خطف تعادلاً قاتلاً من نظيره السويسري بهدف لمثله.
وتساوت منتخبات المجموعة الثانية في عدد النقاط بعد خوض الجولة الأولى من المونديال المقام في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك، إذ تعادل منتخب كندا مع البوسنة والهرسك بالنتيجة نفسها.
المغرب يُحرج البرازيل
وحقق منتخب المغرب انطلاقة رائعة في المونديال، بالتعادل مع البرازيل بهدف لمثله ضمن منافسات المجموعة الثالثة، فيما انتزع منتخب أسكتلندا فوزاً ثميناً على هايتي بهدف نظيف، ليخطف صدارة المجموعة الثالثة.
هزيمة مدوية لتونس
وتلقى المنتخب التونسي أكبر هزيمة لمنتخب عربي في الجولة الافتتاحية بمونديال 2026، بعد خسارته أمام السويد بخمسة أهداف مقابل هدف، ليتذيل المجموعة السادسة بدون رصيد، فيما يتصدر منتخب السويد الترتيب برصيد ثلاث نقاط، مقابل نقطة لكل من هولندا واليابان.
ودفعت الهزيمة الصادمة الاتحاد التونسي لكرة القدم إلى إقالة المدرب صبري لموشي من تدريب «نسور قرطاج»، وتعيين مدرب الأخضر السابق هيرفي رينارد خلفاً له.
مصر تفرض التعادل على بلجيكا
وفي المجموعة السابعة، تعادل منتخب مصر مع بلجيكا بنتيجة 1-1، في مباراة قدم فيها محمد صلاح ورفاقه أداءً مميزاً أمام الشياطين الحمر.
كما تعادل منتخب إيران مع نيوزيلندا ضمن منافسات المجموعة ذاتها بهدفين لمثلهما، ليحصد كل منتخب في المجموعة نقطة واحدة بعد خوض الجولة الافتتاحية.
العراق يخسر برباعية
بعد غياب 40 عاماً، عاد منتخب العراق للمشاركة في كأس العالم، لكن البداية لم تكن مثالية، إذ خسر «أسود الرافدين» أمام النرويج بأربعة أهداف مقابل هدف.
ويتصدر المنتخب النرويجي ترتيب المجموعة التاسعة برصيد 3 نقاط، متقدماً على فرنسا بفارق الأهداف، بينما يحتل السنغال والعراق المركزين الثالث والرابع على الترتيب دون نقاط.
بداية مٌحبطة للجزائر أمام الأرجنتين
وخسر المنتخب الجزائري أمام الأرجنتين بثلاثية نظيفة حملت توقيع نجم «التانغو» ليونيل ميسي، رغم البداية القوية للخضر وإلغاء هدف لهم في الدقائق الأولى.
الأردن يخسر أمام النمسا
وفي المجموعة العاشرة أيضاً، خسر منتخب الأردن أمام النمسا بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف، في أول ظهور للنشامى بكأس العالم.

In Group B, the Qatar national team earned its first World Cup point in its second participation in the tournament, after snatching a last-minute draw against its Swiss counterpart, ending 1-1.
The teams in Group B ended up equal in points after the first round of the World Cup held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, as Canada drew with Bosnia and Herzegovina with the same result.
Morocco Embarrasses Brazil
The Moroccan team achieved a fantastic start in the World Cup, drawing with Brazil 1-1 in the competitions of Group C, while the Scottish team secured a valuable victory over Haiti with a clean goal, taking the lead in Group C.
Stunning Defeat for Tunisia
The Tunisian team suffered the largest defeat for an Arab team in the opening round of the 2026 World Cup, losing to Sweden by five goals to one, placing them at the bottom of Group F with no points, while Sweden tops the standings with three points, followed by the Netherlands and Japan with one point each.
The shocking defeat prompted the Tunisian Football Federation to dismiss coach Sabri Lamouchi from leading the "Eagles of Carthage," appointing former Green coach Hervé Renard as his replacement.
