أمر الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بمواصلة الضربات العسكرية على إيران، مع توقعات ببدء جولة جديدة من الهجمات بحلول يوم غد (الأحد)، بعدما خلص إلى أن المسار الدبلوماسي لم يحقق النتائج المرجوة.

ونقلت صحيفة "وول ستريت جورنال"، عن مصادر مطلعة أن جولة جديدة من الضربات الأمريكية قد تبدأ خلال عطلة نهاية الأسبوع وتستمر عدة أيام، رغم تواصل المفاوضات بين الطرفين.
وأضافت المصادر أن ترمب أبلغ مساعديه بتراجع ثقته في إمكانية التوصل إلى تفاهم مع طهران عبر المفاوضات، متهماً المسؤولين الإيرانيين بعدم التعامل بجدية مع المحادثات، مع تأكيده في الوقت نفسه تمسكه بمنع إيران من امتلاك سلاح نووي.
وعقد الرئيس الأمريكي اجتماعا مع فريقه للأمن القومي في منتجع كامب ديفيد، لبحث تطورات الحرب والخيارات الأمريكية للتعامل مع إيران، مساء الجمعة.
ويميل ترمب إلى زيادة الضغط العسكري بهدف دفع طهران إلى تقديم تنازلات، مع الإبقاء على باب التفاوض مفتوحاً في حال غيّرت القيادة الإيرانية موقفها.
وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن الرئيس ترمب اتخذ قراره بعد مراجعة الخيارات العسكرية المتاحة في أعقاب الهجوم الإيراني الأخير، ووافق على استئناف الضربات بعدما اعتبر أن الردود السابقة لم تحقق مستوى الردع المطلوب.
وكشف مسؤول أمريكي أن ترمب يدرس بجدية شن ضربات على أهداف للطاقة والبنية التحتية داخل إيران خلال الأيام القادمة، لكنه لم يصدر أوامر نهائية بتنفيذها.وأضاف أن الحملة المحتملة تستهدف زيادة الضغط على طهران لدفعها إلى قبول الشروط الأمريكية في محادثات وقف إطلاق النار الجارية.
ولا يستبعد الرئيس ترمب توسيع قائمة الأهداف داخل إيران إذا واصلت طهران استهداف القوات الأمريكية أو دول في المنطقة.و رجحت بعض المصادر أن تشمل الضربات مشاركة إسرائيلية للمرة الأولى منذ أسابيع، وهو ما قد يدفع إيران إلى استئناف الهجمات الصاروخية على إسرائيل.
في المقابل، اتهمت القوات الإيرانية (السبت) الولايات المتحدة بـ"تصعيد التوتر" في الشرق الأوسط. واعتبر قائد مقر خاتم الأنبياء، غرفة العمليات المركزية للقوات الإيرانية علي عبداللهي، أن "الولايات المتحدة تتجه سريعا نحو تصعيد التوتر في المنطقة".
وتوعد الحرس الثوري بمواصلة هجماته، ما يرجح استمرار تبادل الضربات بين الجانبين، في وقت تتراجع فيه فرص العودة إلى تسوية سياسية مع تصاعد انعدام الثقة بين واشنطن وطهران.
ونقلت وكالة "تسنيم" التابعة للحرس الثوري، عن مسؤول أمني إيراني كبير قوله إن استهداف البنية التحتية الإيرانية سيكون "عملاً جنونياً".
وأضاف المسؤول أن طهران أعدت خطة رد واسعة تشمل استهداف منشآت حيوية في إسرائيل وبنى تحتية أمريكية للطاقة في المنطقة، مؤكداً استعداد إيران لتنفيذها.
U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered the continuation of military strikes on Iran, with expectations of a new round of attacks starting by tomorrow (Sunday), after concluding that the diplomatic path has not yielded the desired results.

The Wall Street Journal reported, citing informed sources, that a new round of U.S. strikes could begin over the weekend and last for several days, despite ongoing negotiations between the two sides.
The sources added that Trump has informed his aides of his diminishing confidence in the possibility of reaching an understanding with Tehran through negotiations, accusing Iranian officials of not taking the talks seriously, while also affirming his commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
The U.S. president held a meeting with his national security team at Camp David to discuss developments in the war and U.S. options for dealing with Iran on Friday evening.
Trump tends to increase military pressure to push Tehran to make concessions, while keeping the door open for negotiations should the Iranian leadership change its stance.
The newspaper noted that President Trump made his decision after reviewing available military options following the recent Iranian attack, and approved the resumption of strikes after determining that previous responses did not achieve the desired level of deterrence.
An American official revealed that Trump is seriously considering launching strikes on energy and infrastructure targets inside Iran in the coming days, but has not issued final orders for their execution. He added that the potential campaign aims to increase pressure on Tehran to accept U.S. terms in the ongoing ceasefire talks.
President Trump does not rule out expanding the list of targets inside Iran if Tehran continues to target U.S. forces or countries in the region. Some sources suggested that the strikes may involve Israeli participation for the first time in weeks, which could prompt Iran to resume missile attacks on Israel.
In contrast, Iranian forces accused the United States on Saturday of "escalating tensions" in the Middle East. The commander of the Quds Force, the central operations room of Iranian forces, Ali Abdollahi, stated that "the United States is rapidly heading towards escalating tensions in the region."
The Revolutionary Guard vowed to continue its attacks, indicating that the exchange of strikes between the two sides is likely to persist, while the chances of returning to a political settlement diminish amid rising distrust between Washington and Tehran.
The Tasnim news agency, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard, quoted a senior Iranian security official as saying that targeting Iranian infrastructure would be "an act of madness."
The official added that Tehran has prepared a broad retaliation plan that includes targeting vital facilities in Israel and U.S. energy infrastructure in the region, affirming Iran's readiness to implement it.
