تحطمت طائرة أمريكية من طراز «إف-35 بي لايتنينغ 2» بالقرب من قاعدة ميرامار الجوية بولاية كاليفورنيا، بينما تمكن الطيار من النجاة بعد قفزه بالمظلة قبل لحظات من سقوطها.
وأكد متحدث باسم سلاح مشاة البحرية الأمريكية، مساء الجمعة، وقوع الحادثة، موضحًا أن الطائرة التابعة لمشاة البحرية تحطمت في محيط قاعدة ميرامار الجوية، دون الكشف في هذه المرحلة عن الأسباب التي أدت إلى الحادثة.
وأشار المتحدث إلى أن الطيار تمكن من القفز من الطائرة بسلام، قبل أن تنقله فرق الإنقاذ إلى مركز طبي لتلقي الرعاية اللازمة، مؤكدًا أن حالته مستقرة، وأن مزيدًا من التفاصيل سيُعلن عنها فور انتهاء الجهات المختصة من جمع المعلومات الأولية.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Marine Corps confirmed the incident on Friday evening, explaining that the Marine Corps aircraft crashed in the vicinity of the Miramar Air Station, without disclosing at this stage the reasons that led to the incident.
The spokesperson noted that the pilot was able to jump from the aircraft safely, before being transported by rescue teams to a medical center for necessary care, confirming that his condition is stable, and that more details will be announced as soon as the relevant authorities complete gathering preliminary information.
Users on social media circulated videos showing thick columns of black smoke rising from the crash site, while emergency teams rushed to secure the area and handle the incident.
