في لحظة فارقة حبست أنفاس عشاق المغامرة عبر الوطن العربي، تحول حلم ارتقاء السحاب إلى مأساة مروعة فوق الأعالي الشاهقة، إذ طُويت الصفحة الأخيرة من حياة واحدة من أجرأ المغامرات العربيات، بعدما باغتت الجبال جسد المتسلقة العُمانية نظيرة الحارثي بانهيار ثلجي مرعب في شمال باكستان، لترتقي روحها بين الأحضان الميتة للثلوج التي كرست حياتها لقهرها.
الفاجعة أحدثت صدمة وجدانية واسعة في الشارع الخليجي، وتحولت المنصات الرقمية إلى سرادق رثاء حزين، حيث نعى سعيد الحارثي شقيقته الراحلة بكلمات تقطر حسرة ووجعاً، مستحضراً تفاصيل صباحات العيد التي كانت تضج بضحكاتها وحضورها اللافت، قبل أن يغيب صوتها الأبدي تحت ركام الجليد.
لم تكن قصة نظيرة (المولودة عام 1977) مجرد حكاية رياضية عابرة، بل كانت تمرساً استثنائياً للتحول، إذ بدأت مسيرتها كمعلمة جغرافيا حاصلة على الماجستير من جامعة السلطان قابوس، قبل أن تشتعل شرارة الشغف في قلبها عام 2015 خلال برنامج بيئي بجبل «كليمنجارو» بتنزانيا، لتتخذ القرار الأصعب ببدء تدريبات بدنية شاقة غيرت مجرى حياتها بالكامل.
وفي 23 مايو 2019، انتزعت الحارثي تصفيق العالم بعدما أصبحت أول امرأة عُمانية تُرفرف بركائز علم بلادها فوق قمة «إيفرست» (أعلى نقطة على كوكب الأرض) ضمن ملحمة نسائية عربية ألهمت ملايين الفتيات وكسرت الأشكال النمطية عن طموح المرأة العربية.
سلسلة الإنجازات لم تتوقف عند سقف العالم، بل واصلت البطلة العُمانية كسر الأرقام القياسية بجرأة غير مسبوقة:
- عام 2021: أول امرأة عربية تروض قمة «أما دابلام» الشاهقة.
- السيادة على العمالقة: اعتلت قمة «ماناسلو»، ثم قهرت جبل K2 الذي يُصنف كأحد أكثر جبال الأرض شراسة وخطورة.
- صيف 2024: سجلت تاريخاً جديداً بانتصارها على جبل «نانغا باربات»، المعروف عالمياً بلقب «الجبل القاتل».
ورغم التحديات الاجتماعية والنظرات التشكيكية التي لاحقت بداياتها ووصفت شغفها بالـ«جنون»، ظلت نظيرة الحارثي متمسكة برؤيتها أن الجبال معلم يرسخ الانضباط والإصرار.. قبل أن تكتب الفصل الأخير من أسطورتها بين القمم التي أحبتها حتى النَفَس الأخير.

The mountains ambushed the body of Omani climber Nazira Al-Harthi with a terrifying avalanche in northern Pakistan, allowing her spirit to ascend among the lifeless embraces of the snow she dedicated her life to conquering.
The tragedy caused widespread emotional shock in the Gulf region, and digital platforms transformed into a mournful tent of lamentation, where Said Al-Harthi mourned his late sister with words dripping with sorrow and pain, recalling the details of Eid mornings that were filled with her laughter and striking presence, before her eternal voice was silenced beneath the rubble of ice.
Nazira's story (born in 1977) was not just a fleeting sports tale, but an exceptional exercise in transformation. She began her journey as a geography teacher with a master's degree from Sultan Qaboos University, before the spark of passion ignited in her heart in 2015 during an environmental program on Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, leading her to make the toughest decision to start rigorous physical training that completely changed the course of her life.
On May 23, 2019, Al-Harthi garnered the world's applause when she became the first Omani woman to wave her country's flag atop Mount Everest (the highest point on Earth) as part of an Arab women's saga that inspired millions of girls and shattered stereotypes about Arab women's ambitions.
The series of achievements did not stop at the roof of the world; the Omani champion continued to break records with unprecedented boldness:
- In 2021: The first Arab woman to conquer the towering peak of Ama Dablam.
- Dominating the giants: She ascended the summit of Manaslu, then conquered K2, which is classified as one of the most ferocious and dangerous mountains on Earth.
- Summer 2024: She recorded a new history by triumphing over Nanga Parbat, globally known as the "killer mountain."
Despite the social challenges and skeptical gazes that followed her beginnings and labeled her passion as "madness," Nazira Al-Harthi remained steadfast in her belief that mountains are a teacher that instills discipline and determination... before she wrote the final chapter of her legend among the peaks she loved until her last breath.
