في لحظات، تحولت أجواء تجمع اجتماعي في محافظة عمران شمال اليمن إلى مشهد مأساوي، بعدما ضربت صاعقة رعدية المكان وسط هطول أمطار غزيرة، مخلفة قتلى ومصابات، في حادثة تعكس المخاطر المتزايدة التي ترافق موسم الأمطار في البلاد.
وأفادت مصادر قبلية بأن 4 نساء لقين مصرعهن، الجمعة، إثر صاعقة رعدية أصابت منزلًا في بلدة «عمد» التابعة لمديرية عيال سريح، جنوب شرقي محافظة عمران، أثناء استضافة فعالية نسوية نظمتها إحدى المشرفات الاجتماعيات التابعات لجماعة الحوثي.
وأضافت المصادر أن الصاعقة أسفرت أيضًا عن إصابة عدد من المشاركات بجروح متفاوتة، حيث جرى نقلهن إلى مستشفى المديرية لتلقي الرعاية الطبية.
من جهتها، أكدت مصلحة الدفاع المدني في المناطق الخاضعة لسيطرة الحوثيين حصيلة الحادثة، مشيرة إلى مقتل 4 نساء وإصابة 6 أخريات، بالتزامن مع موجة أمطار غزيرة شهدتها المحافظة.
وأصدرت المصلحة تحذيرات للمواطنين دعتهم فيها إلى تجنب التواجد في الأماكن المكشوفة أثناء العواصف الرعدية، والابتعاد عن الأشجار المرتفعة وأعمدة الكهرباء والأجسام المعدنية، كما أوصت بفصل الأجهزة الكهربائية والهواتف خلال التقلبات الجوية، للحد من مخاطر الصواعق.
وفي حادثة منفصلة، لقي أب وزوجته وابنتهما مصرعهم، الخميس، إثر صاعقة رعدية ضربت منزلهم في مديرية جبل رأس بمحافظة الحديدة، في واقعة تعكس استمرار الخسائر البشرية الناجمة عن الأحوال الجوية القاسية.
وتشهد اليمن خلال موسم الأمطار سنويًا ارتفاعًا في حوادث الفيضانات والصواعق الرعدية، التي أودت، وفق إحصاءات العام الماضي، بحياة أكثر من 104 أشخاص، وسط تحذيرات من تزايد تأثيرات الظواهر المناخية المتطرفة على مختلف مناطق البلاد.
In moments, the atmosphere of a social gathering in the Amran governorate in northern Yemen turned into a tragic scene, after a thunderbolt struck the place amid heavy rainfall, leaving casualties and injuries, in an incident that reflects the increasing risks accompanying the rainy season in the country.
Tribal sources reported that 4 women were killed on Friday after a thunderbolt hit a house in the town of "Amad," which belongs to the Ayel Sarih district, southeast of Amran governorate, during a women's event organized by one of the social supervisors affiliated with the Houthi group.
The sources added that the thunderbolt also resulted in injuries to several participants, who were transferred to the district hospital for medical care.
For its part, the Civil Defense Authority in the areas controlled by the Houthis confirmed the casualty figures, indicating the death of 4 women and the injury of 6 others, coinciding with a wave of heavy rains that the governorate experienced.
The authority issued warnings to citizens, urging them to avoid being in open areas during thunderstorms, and to stay away from tall trees, electric poles, and metallic objects. It also recommended disconnecting electrical devices and phones during weather fluctuations to reduce the risks of lightning strikes.
In a separate incident, a father, his wife, and their daughter were killed on Thursday after a thunderbolt struck their home in the Jabal Ras district of Al Hudaydah governorate, in an event that reflects the ongoing human losses resulting from harsh weather conditions.
Yemen witnesses an annual increase in incidents of flooding and thunderstorms during the rainy season, which, according to last year's statistics, claimed the lives of more than 104 people, amid warnings of the increasing impacts of extreme climatic phenomena on various regions of the country.
