ليست كل الابتكارات التقنية وُلدت داخل المختبرات أو بحثًا عن الشهرة، فبعضها يبدأ من خوف صادق على شخص عزيز. بهذه الدوافع الإنسانية نجح طالب صيني في تحويل قلقه على صحة جده إلى تطبيق ذكي يساعده على الالتزام بمواعيد العلاج، في قصة لامست مشاعر كثيرين وأعادت تقديم الذكاء الاصطناعي كأداة لخدمة الإنسان قبل أي شيء آخر.
وطوّر الشاب ما كاي، البالغ من العمر 18 عامًا، التطبيق في مدينة شنغهاي قبيل انتقاله إلى الدراسة الجامعية، بعدما أدرك أن جده، الذي تجاوز السبعين من عمره ويعيش بمفرده ويعاني من أمراض مزمنة، قد يواجه صعوبة في تذكر مواعيد الأدوية أو التحقق من صلاحيتها.
وخلال مشاركته في المؤتمر العالمي للذكاء الاصطناعي في شنغهاي، استعرض ما كاي مشروعه، موضحًا أنه اعتمد على نموذج لغوي ضخم طورته شركة ModelBest الصينية المتخصصة في تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، لتقديم تجربة سهلة تناسب كبار السن.
ولا يكتفي التطبيق بإرسال تنبيهات لتذكير المستخدم بمواعيد تناول الدواء، بل يتيح أيضًا تصوير عبوة الدواء لتحليل بياناتها والتأكد من تاريخ صلاحيتها، مع إصدار تنبيه صوتي في حال اكتشاف أن الدواء لم يعد صالحًا للاستخدام.
وقال ما كاي إن فكرة المشروع جاءت نتيجة قلقه من ابتعاده عن جده بعد انتقاله إلى الجامعة، إذ أراد وسيلة تتيح له الاطمئنان على انتظامه في تناول العلاج حتى في أثناء غيابه، خصوصًا أن أي تأخير في الجرعات أو استخدام دواء منتهي الصلاحية قد يعرّض صحته لمضاعفات خطيرة.
ورغم أن التطبيق لا يزال في مراحله الأولى، ويصفه مطوره بأنه مشروع بسيط يعتمد على عدد محدود من التعليمات البرمجية، إلا أنه حظي باهتمام واسع داخل الصين، حيث أشاد كثيرون بالفكرة باعتبارها نموذجًا عمليًا لتسخير التكنولوجيا في خدمة كبار السن، وتجسيدًا لكيف يمكن للابتكار أن يبدأ من موقف إنساني بسيط، ثم يتحول إلى حل قد يفيد آلاف العائلات.

With these human motivations, a Chinese student succeeded in transforming his worry for his grandfather's health into a smart application that helps him keep track of his treatment schedules, in a story that touched the feelings of many and reintroduced artificial intelligence as a tool to serve humanity above all else.
The young man, Ma Kai, 18 years old, developed the application in Shanghai just before moving on to university studies, after realizing that his grandfather, who is over seventy years old, lives alone, and suffers from chronic illnesses, might have difficulty remembering medication schedules or checking their validity.
During his participation in the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, Ma Kai showcased his project, explaining that he relied on a massive language model developed by the Chinese company ModelBest, which specializes in artificial intelligence technologies, to provide an easy experience suitable for the elderly.
The application does not only send alerts to remind the user of medication times, but it also allows users to take a picture of the medication package to analyze its data and verify its expiration date, issuing an audio alert if it discovers that the medication is no longer suitable for use.
Ma Kai stated that the idea for the project came from his concern about being away from his grandfather after moving to university, as he wanted a way to ensure that his grandfather was consistently taking his medication even in his absence, especially since any delay in doses or using expired medication could expose his health to serious complications.
Although the application is still in its early stages and its developer describes it as a simple project based on a limited number of code instructions, it has garnered wide attention within China, where many have praised the idea as a practical model for harnessing technology to serve the elderly, and a manifestation of how innovation can begin from a simple human situation and then transform into a solution that could benefit thousands of families.
