آه يا زمن.. ليش يا النصر.. الحزن عمّ على كافة الجماهير النصراوية واللاعبين والجهاز الفني عقب خسارة لقب بطولة دوري أبطال آسيا 2 أمام فريق جامبا أوساكا الياباني بهدف دون مقابل، ليعيد التاريخ نفسه بعد 31 عاماً من الآن، إذ خسر الأصفر لقب بطولة الأندية الآسيوية عام 1995 عندما احتضن استاد الملك فهد الدولي بالرياض لقاء النصر وإلهوا تشونما الكوري الجنوبي وخسر الأول اللقب بالهدف الذهبي عند الدقيقة 110، كما أنه سبق وخسر لقب كأس الكؤوس الآسيوية 1991ـ1992 بعد مباراتي ذهاب في الرياض وإياب على أرض نيسان الياباني، وباتت «آسيا 2» ثالث بطولة يفرِّط فيها الفريق عبر النهائي.
وأحبطت الجماهير النصراوية واللاعبون كافة بعد فقدان اللقب القاري، الذي كان سينضم لبطولتي كأس الكؤوس والسوبر الآسيوي.
