تفوق الخليج على ضيفه النجمة بثلاثة أهداف لهدف في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد الأمير محمد بن فهد بالدمام ضمن لقاءات الجولة 30 من دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
شهد اللقاء بداية سريعة للخليج الذي تمكن من التقدم مبكراً بعد تمريرة من حمد الجيزاني أنبرى لها المهاجم جوشوا كينج ليضعها في المرمى هدفاً أول للخليج (د:7)، وسرعان ما عاد النجمة للقاء بعد أن تحصل على ركلة جزاء سددها لازارو لكن كرته ارتطمت في القائم ومن ثم في جسد الحارس أنتوني موريس لتسكن الشباك هدف تعادل للنجمة (د:16)، وفي الشوط الثاني عاد جوشوا كينج لهز الشباك مجدداً مسجلاً الهدف الشخصي الثاني له وللخليج (د:52)، ومن ثم سجل زميله باولو فيرنانديز الهدف الثالث للخليج (د:59)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز الخليج بثلاثة أهداف لهدف.
وبهذه النتيجة، يحقق الخليج الفوز التاسع ويصل للنقطة 34 في المركز العاشر، فيما تلقى النجمة الخسارة الـ23 وتجمد رصيده عند 11 نقطة في المركز الـ18 (الأخير).

The match witnessed a quick start from the Gulf, which managed to take an early lead after a pass from Hamad Al-Jizani was met by striker Joshua King, who put it in the net for the first goal of the Gulf (7th minute). Al-Najma quickly returned to the match after being awarded a penalty kick taken by Lazaro, but his shot hit the post and then deflected off the body of goalkeeper Anthony Morris to find the back of the net, equalizing for Al-Najma (16th minute). In the second half, Joshua King struck again, scoring his second personal goal and the Gulf's second goal (52nd minute), followed by his teammate Paulo Fernandes, who scored the third goal for the Gulf (59th minute), ending the match with a victory for the Gulf by three goals to one.
With this result, the Gulf achieves its ninth victory, reaching 34 points in tenth place, while Al-Najma suffers its 23rd loss, remaining at 11 points in 18th place (last).
