يكشف مدرب المنتخب السعودي هيرفي رينارد خطة إعداد المنتخب السعودي لمونديال 2026، ونتائج الزيارات الميدانية للأندية التي قام بها خلال الفترة الماضية للوقوف على جاهزية اللاعبين الذي سيخضعون لتجارب لياقية وبدنية قبل انضمامهم لمرحلة الإعداد الأخيرة. وسيخوض «الأخضر» منافسات المونديال ضمن المجموعة الثامنة إلى جانب منتخبات إسبانيا وأوروغواي والرأس الأخضر. كما سيعلن رينارد عن مصير المباراتين الوديتين أمام مصر وصربيا المقررة في قطر هذا الشهر، في ظل التطورات الإقليمية الحالية، إذ لم تتقدم دولة قطر الشقيقة بأي اعتذار حتى الآن، وبالتالي ستقام المباراة في موعدها في قطر، إلا إذا صدر إخطار رسمي جديد من الجانب القطري.
وكان الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم قد أعلن في يناير الماضي خوض «الأخضر» مواجهتين وديتين، ضد مصر (الخميس 26 مارس)، وصربيا (الإثنين 30 مارس)، ضمن معسكره الإعدادي في قطر خلال الفترة من 22 إلى 30 مارس، في إطار برنامج إعداد المنتخب لبطولة كأس العالم 2026، المقررة في يونيو القادم بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وكندا والمكسيك.
