أكد مدرب نادي النصر خورخي خيسوس أن تحقيق الفوز كان الأمر الأهم، وذلك بعد تأهل فريقه إلى الدور ربع النهائي من دوري أبطال آسيا الثاني 2025-2026، رغم أن الأداء لم يكن مثالياً.
وقال خيسوس في المؤتمر الصحفي الذي عقده بعد نهاية المباراة والذي نشره الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم عبر موقعه الرسمي في الشبكة العنكبوتية: حققت المباراة هدفين بالنسبة لنا؛ الأول التأهل إلى الدور التالي، والثاني منح فرصة اللعب لأكبر عدد ممكن من اللاعبين، وخصوصا غريب الذي حصل على فرصته وسجل وقدم مستوى مميزاً، ونحتاج إلى أكبر عدد ممكن من اللاعبين لكي نكون في قمة التنافسية. أداؤهم يمنح الفريق قوة إضافية، لقد تأهلنا إلى ربع النهائي، ومن الطبيعي أن تزداد قوة الفرق مع تقدمها في البطولة.
وأوضح خيسوس: نخوض مباراة كل ثلاثة أيام، وهناك إصابات وإيقافات وإرهاق. سنحدد الإستراتيجية الأنسب لكل مباراة وفقاً لذلك. مررنا بفترة صعبة بسبب الإصابات، لكننا عالجنا بعض المشاكل الدفاعية، والفريق تحسن بشكل واضح، لقد خضنا تسع مباريات متتالية دون أن تهتز شباكنا، وذلك بفضل جهود اللاعبين والتزامهم.
وختم خيسوس حديثه بالقول: الجميع يعلم أن النصر ينافس في بطولتين؛ الدوري ودوري أبطال آسيا الثاني. نسعى للفوز بهما من خلال تقديم أقصى ما لدينا.
Al-Nasr Club coach Jorge Jesus confirmed that achieving victory was the most important thing, after his team qualified for the quarter-finals of the AFC Champions League 2025-2026, even though the performance was not perfect.
Jesus said in the press conference held after the match, which was published by the Asian Football Confederation on its official website: "The match achieved two goals for us; the first is qualifying for the next round, and the second is giving the opportunity to play to as many players as possible, especially Gharib, who got his chance, scored, and performed exceptionally. We need as many players as possible to be at our competitive best. Their performance gives the team additional strength; we have qualified for the quarter-finals, and it is natural for teams to become stronger as they progress in the tournament."
Jesus explained: "We are playing a match every three days, and there are injuries, suspensions, and fatigue. We will determine the best strategy for each match accordingly. We have gone through a difficult period due to injuries, but we have addressed some defensive issues, and the team has clearly improved. We have played nine consecutive matches without conceding a goal, thanks to the players' efforts and commitment."
Jesus concluded his remarks by saying: "Everyone knows that Al-Nasr is competing in two tournaments; the league and the AFC Champions League. We aim to win both by giving our utmost."
