كشفت صحيفة «ذا صن» البريطانية عن تفاصيل إلقاء القبض على مهاجم الأهلي، الإنجليزي إيفان توني، داخل أحد الملاهي في العاصمة لندن مطلع الأسبوع الجاري. وبحسب الصحيفة، مرّ توني بجانب طاولة يجلس عليها مجموعة من الشباب، قبل أن يتعرّف عليه أحدهم ويضع يده حول رقبته محاولاً التقاط صورة معه.
لكن طريقة اقتراب المشجع أثارت غضب لاعب الأهلي، الذي ردّ عليه قائلاً بغضب: «ابتعد عني، ابتعد عني»، قبل أن يقوم توني بنطحه في رأسه، ما تسبب في نزيف من أنف الشاب.
تدخل الشرطة
ووفق التقرير، وصلت الشرطة إلى المكان، وألقت القبض على توني بعدما وضعت الأصفاد في يديه خلف ظهره، وواجه ثلاث تهم: تهمتين بالاعتداء وتهمة واحدة بالشجار، قبل الإفراج عنه بكفالة بينما لا تزال التحقيقات مستمرة.
شهود عيان
وقال أحد الشهود: «ربما اعتقد أنهم يريدون مهاجمته لسرقة سلسلته أو مراقبته، ربما شعر بالتهديد من المجموعة، إنه نجم كبير يحصل على نصف مليون دولار أسبوعياً، وكان يرتدي مجوهرات وساعة ثمينة فعلاً».
ونقلت «ذا صن» عن مصدر مقرب من الشاب المعتدى عليه أنه خضع للعلاج من إصابات في الوجه، شملت كسراً في الأنف وآخر في إصبع الخاتم.
عودة توني
ورغم الواقعة، عاد توني للمشاركة في تدريبات الأهلي بصورة طبيعية، استعداداً لاستئناف منافسات دوري روشن السعودي.

According to the newspaper, Toney passed by a table where a group of young men were sitting, before one of them recognized him and put his hand around his neck, attempting to take a picture with him.
However, the way the fan approached angered the Al Ahly player, who responded angrily, saying: "Get away from me, get away from me," before Toney headbutted him, causing the young man to bleed from his nose.
Police Intervention
According to the report, the police arrived at the scene and arrested Toney after putting handcuffs on him behind his back. He faced three charges: two counts of assault and one count of fighting, before being released on bail while investigations are still ongoing.
Eyewitnesses
One witness said: "He might have thought they wanted to attack him to steal his chain or were watching him; he might have felt threatened by the group. He is a big star earning half a million dollars a week, and he was indeed wearing jewelry and an expensive watch."
"The Sun" reported from a source close to the assaulted young man that he underwent treatment for facial injuries, including a broken nose and another fracture in his ring finger.
Toney's Return
Despite the incident, Toney returned to participate in Al Ahly's training normally, in preparation for the resumption of the Roshen Saudi League competitions.
