بحضور رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للترفيه رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للملاكمة المستشار تركي آل الشيخ، اختتمت في العاصمة الرياض صباح اليوم (الأحد) ليلة تاريخية مع إقامة نزال The Ring IV: Night of the Champions ضمن فعاليات موسم الرياض 2025، في أمسية حافلة قدّمت واحدة من أقوى بطاقات الملاكمة العالمية هذا العام، بمشاركة نخبة من أبطال العالم والمواهب الصاعدة في 9 مواجهات امتدت على مدار ساعات من الترقب والإثارة.
في الحدث الأبرز لليلة، عُزف السلام الملكي السعودي، قبل أن يعتلي الأمريكي ديفيد بنافيديز والبريطاني أنتوني يارد الحلبة ضمن المواجهة التي تُعد خطوة حاسمة في طريق توحيد ألقاب وزن خفيف الثقيل (Light Heavyweight)، وسط أجواء مشتعلة داخل القاعة بعد مسيرة طويلة من التوتر والتصريحات النارية بين الطرفين خلال أسبوع الملاكمة، حيث تمكن ديفيد بنافيديز من حسم النزال بعدما أوقف الحكم المواجهة في الجولة السابعة بالضربة القاضية الفنية، عقب عجز خصمه أنتوني يارد عن مواصلة المواجهة.
وقدم الطرفان أداءً رفيع المستوى يعكس حجم النزال وأهميته، في مواجهة انتظرها عشاق اللعبة حول العالم، خصوصاً بعد وعود بنافيديز بـ«السيطرة التامة»، وقناعة يارد بأن «اللحظة قد حانت» لتحقيق لقبه العالمي الأول.
وفي النزال الذي سبق الحدث الرئيسي، دخل الأمريكي ديفين هيني، والبطل العالمي براين نورمان جونيور إلى الحلبة في معركة قوية على لقب WBO العالمي لوزن الويلتر، حيث انتصر هيني بقرار إجماع الحكام. وقدّم الطرفان واحدة من أكثر المواجهات انتظاراً هذا الشهر على الرغم من سيطرة كانت واضحة للبطل الجديد في «الويلتر».
وشهدت ليلة الأبطال أيضاً أحد أقوى النزالات في فئة الأوزان الخفيفة، حيث حسم الأمريكي جيسي «بام» رودريغيز مواجهته مع الأرجنتيني فيرناندو «بوما» مارتينيز بالضربة القاضية من يده اليسرى في الجولة العاشرة، بعد أداء سيطر فيه على أغلب مجريات اللقاء.
وبهذا الفوز يصبح رودريغيز البطل الموحد لألقاب WBA وWBC وWBO ولقب The Ring في وزن السوبر فلاي، محافظاً على سجله دون أي هزيمة، ومؤكداً مكانته كواحد من أعظم مقاتلي الجيل الحالي.
وكانت قد بدأت المواجهات بانتصار مقنع للمكسيكي خوان غيريتو في أول ظهور له في مسيرته الاحترافية، حيث تمكن من هزيمة الأوغندي باركر سيسويانانا بقرارٍ جماعي بعد أداء هجومي ثابت طوال الجولات الأربع.
وفي ثاني النزالات، حقق السعودي سلطان المحمد واحدة من أسرع انتصارات الليلة بعد فوزه بالضربة الفنية القاضية في الجولة الأولى على الهندي أوميش تشافان، ليؤكد تطوره اللافت واستعداده لمرحلة أعلى من المنافسة.
أما النزال الثالث بين البورتوريكي جوليو بوراس رويز والتنزاني بيوس مبيندا فقد انتهى بقرارٍ متعادل بعد 6 جولات متقاربة، في مواجهة شهدت تقلباً في السيطرة بين الطرفين وأثارت تفاعل الجمهور.
وفي رابع النزالات، واصل السعودي محمد العقل سلسلة انتصاراته ليصل إلى (7-0)، بعد فوزه بقرار جماعي على الصيني جيامينغ لي، مقدماً واحدة من أكثر مواجهاته نضجاً من حيث التحكم بالمسافة والدفاع والضغط الهجومي.
وشهد النزال الخامس تفوقاً لافتاً للأمريكي فيتو ميلنيكي جونيور الذي حسم مواجهته أمام الكاميروني صامويل مموماه بالضربة الفنية القاضية، مؤكداً مكانته كواحد من أبرز المواهب الصاعدة في وزن المتوسط.
وفي واحدة من أهم مباريات البطاقة التمهيدية، أصبح الأمريكي عبدالله ميسون أصغر بطل نشط في عالم الملاكمة للرجال، بعد فوزه بالإجماع على البريطاني سام نوكس الذي سالت منه الدماء، ليتوج بلقب WBO العالمي للوزن الخفيف، محققاً إنجازاً استثنائياً يُحسب له في سنه المبكرة.

The evening featured one of the strongest boxing cards of the year, with a selection of world champions and rising talents participating in 9 bouts that unfolded over hours of anticipation and excitement.
In the highlight of the night, the Saudi national anthem was played before American David Benavidez and British Anthony Yarde took to the ring in a matchup that is considered a crucial step towards unifying the Light Heavyweight titles, amid a heated atmosphere inside the hall following a long week of tension and fiery statements between the two sides. David Benavidez managed to secure victory after the referee stopped the match in the seventh round by technical knockout, following his opponent Anthony Yarde's inability to continue.
Both fighters delivered a high-level performance that reflected the significance of the bout, a matchup awaited by fans of the sport around the world, especially after Benavidez's promises of "total domination" and Yarde's belief that "the moment has come" to achieve his first world title.
In the bout preceding the main event, American Devin Haney and world champion Brian Norman Jr. entered the ring in a fierce battle for the WBO world welterweight title, where Haney won by unanimous decision. Both fighters presented one of the most anticipated matchups this month, despite the clear dominance of the new champion in the welterweight division.
The champions' night also witnessed one of the strongest bouts in the lightweight category, where American Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez defeated Argentine Fernando "Puma" Martinez by knockout with his left hand in the tenth round, after a performance in which he controlled most of the fight's proceedings.

The matches began with a convincing victory for Mexican Juan Gerito in his professional debut, as he managed to defeat Ugandan Parker Sisuianana by unanimous decision after a consistent offensive performance throughout the four rounds.

In one of the most important preliminary card matches, American Abdullah Mason became the youngest active champion in men's boxing after winning unanimously against British Sam Knox, who bled during the match, thus claiming the WBO world lightweight title, achieving an extraordinary accomplishment at his young age.
