افتتح ميكيل أويارزابال التسجيل لصالح «الماتادور» الإسباني في الدقيقة 11 من ركلة جزاء، ثم أضاف مارتن زوبيميندي الهدف الثاني للضيوف في الدقيقة 22.
وأحرز فيران توريس الهدف الثالث لإسبانيا في الدقيقة 35، مستغلاً الأداء الدفاعي الضعيف للمنتخب الجورجي.
وعاد أويارزابال لتسجيل هدفه الثامن في آخر 8 مباريات له مع المنتخب الإسباني والرابع في المباراة في الدقيقة 63.

ويتصدر منتخب إسبانيا ترتيب المجموعة الخامسة برصيد 15 نقطة، بفارق 3 نقاط عن تركيا، بينما يأتي منتخب جورجيا في المركز الثالث برصيد 3 نقاط، وأذربيجان رابعاً دون رصيد.
ويتعين على تركيا الفوز على إسبانيا 7-صفر في إشبيلية الثلاثاء القادم لتتصدر المجموعة وتخطف بطاقة التأهل المباشر للنهائيات من إسبانيا، وهي مهمة شبه مستحيلة.
