كتب المنتخب السعودي لكرة اليد للشباب التاريخ، بعد تأهله للمرة الأولى، لنهائي دورة الألعاب الآسيوية الثالثة للشباب «البحرين 2025»، عقب فوزه مساء اليوم (الثلاثاء)، في الدور نصف النهائي على الصين بنتيجة 32 – 24.
وشهدت المباراة، تكافؤاً بين الفريقين في شوط المباراة الأول الذي انتهى بالتعادل 15 – 15، وفي الحصة الثانية استمر التعادل مسيطراً على المباراة، حتى انفرد الأخضر بالنتيجة بداية من الدقيقة 19 من الشوط الثاني، لينهيها بفارق 8 أهداف.
ويلاقي الأخضر في المباراة النهائية، الفائز من لقاء المنتخب البحريني وشقيقه الكويتي، المقامة في وقت لاحق من مساء اليوم (الثلاثاء)؛ لتحديد المتأهل الثاني للمباراة النهائية للمسابقة التي تقام عند السابعة من مساء بعد غد الخميس في صالة أم الحصم بالمنامة.
يذكر أن التأهل السعودي لنهائي كرة اليد بالدورة الآسيوية، هو الأول في درجة الشباب، والثاني على مستوى جميع الدرجات، حيث يأتي بعد غياب أكثر من 35 عاماً، حين حقق الأخضر برونزية دورة الألعاب الآسيوية للكبار التي أقيمت في بكين عام 1990م.
The Saudi youth handball team has made history by qualifying for the final of the third Asian Youth Games "Bahrain 2025" for the first time, following their victory this evening (Tuesday) in the semi-finals against China with a score of 32 – 24.
The match saw a balance between the two teams in the first half, which ended in a tie at 15 – 15. In the second half, the tie continued to dominate the game until the Green team took the lead starting from the 19th minute of the second half, finishing with an 8-goal margin.
The Green team will face the winner of the match between the Bahraini and Kuwaiti teams, which will take place later this evening (Tuesday) to determine the second qualifier for the final match of the competition, scheduled for 7 PM on Thursday at the Umm Al-Hassam Hall in Manama.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia's qualification for the handball final in the Asian Games is the first at the youth level and the second across all levels, coming after a gap of more than 35 years, when the Green team won the bronze medal in the Asian Games for adults held in Beijing in 1990.
