وقّع الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» اتفاقية تعاون جديدة مع الاتحاد الدولي لعمال البناء والأخشاب، تهدف إلى ترسيخ معايير العمل اللائق وضمان بيئة آمنة لجميع العمال المشاركين في إنشاء وتحديث الملاعب والمنشآت المرتبطة ببطولات الاتحاد الدولي.
وذكر الاتحاد الدولي للعبة، عبر موقعه الرسمي، أن الاتفاقية التي وقّعت بين رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لعمال البناء والأخشاب بير أولوف سيو، والأمين العام لـ«فيفا» ماتياس غرافستروم، جاءت تزامنا مع الذكرى العشرين لتأسيس الاتحاد العمالي، وستظل سارية المفعول حتى عام 2030.
ووفقا للبيان، فإن الاتفاقية تنص على تنفيذ عمليات تفتيش مشتركة في مواقع العمل الخاصة ببطولات كأس العالم وغيرها من التظاهرات الرياضية الكبرى، بما يضمن الحفاظ على سرية العمال وحمايتهم من أي تجاوزات، وفق ما تنص عليه اتفاقية منظمة العمل الدولية رقم 81 الخاصة بتفتيش العمل.
كما تنص البنود التي أقرها الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم على تدريب ممثلي العمال وتطوير مهاراتهم، إلى جانب التعامل مع الشكاوى العمالية ومتابعتها، مع التركيز على تعزيز الصحة والسلامة المهنية في مواقع العمل المختلفة.
The International Football Federation "FIFA" has signed a new cooperation agreement with the International Federation of Building and Wood Workers, aimed at establishing decent work standards and ensuring a safe environment for all workers involved in the construction and renovation of stadiums and facilities related to FIFA tournaments.
The international federation of the sport mentioned on its official website that the agreement, signed between the President of the International Federation of Building and Wood Workers, Ber Olof Sio, and the Secretary General of FIFA, Matthias Grafström, coincided with the twentieth anniversary of the labor federation's establishment and will remain in effect until 2030.
According to the statement, the agreement stipulates the implementation of joint inspections at the work sites for World Cup tournaments and other major sporting events, ensuring the confidentiality of workers and protecting them from any violations, in accordance with the International Labour Organization's Convention No. 81 regarding labor inspection.
The provisions approved by the International Football Federation also include training for worker representatives and developing their skills, as well as addressing and following up on labor complaints, with a focus on enhancing health and occupational safety at various work sites.
