The Union will leave this evening (Sunday) for the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, in preparation for facing Al-Shorta in the AFC Champions League for elite clubs.
The team is scheduled to hold one training session before facing Al-Shorta, preceded by a press conference for the Portuguese coach, Conceição.
The Union occupies the 11th place (second to last) in the group with no points, having lost to Al-Wahda of the UAE and Al-Ahli Dubai, and is one point behind Al-Shorta, who is in 10th place.
The Union fell into the trap of a draw the night before last (Friday) against their host Al-Fayha, with a score of one goal for each team.
The Union will be a guest of their counterpart Al-Shorta tomorrow evening (Monday) in the AFC Champions League for elite clubs.
