فرَّط فريق الأهلي بفوز ثمين أمام ضيفه الشباب بعد أن تعادلا بهدف لكل منهما في اللقاء الذي جمعهما على استاد الإنماء بمدينة الملك عبدالله الرياضية بجدة، وذلك ضمن لقاءات الجولة الخامسة من دوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
وتقدم الأهلي أولاً عن طريق ايفان توني من ركلة جزاء (د: 24)، قبل أن يدرك الشباب التعادل عن طريق ماتيو دامس بالخطأ في مرمى فريقه (د: 87)، رغم حصول لاعب الشباب محمد الشويرخ على بطاقة حمراء مباشرة (د: 77).
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية لفريق الأهلي ولعب رياض محرز كرة عرضية عالية حولها زياد الجهني برأسه ولكن الحارس البرازيلي مارسيلو غروهي تمكن من الإمساك بالكرة، واستطاع الأهلي أن يتقدم بالنتيجة مبكراً بعد أن تحصل إيفان توني على ركلة جزاء وتقدم لها بنفسه وسددها بنجاح (د: 15)، وتمكن الشباب من تسجيل هدف التعادل عن طريق مدافعه ويسلي هوديت لكن تم إلغاء الهدف بداعي التسلل.
وفي الشوط الثاني، تألق الحارس إدوارد ميندي في التصدي لكرة محمد الشويرخ وحولها لركلة زاوية، وفي الجانب الآخر تألق مارسيلو غروهي في التصدي لتسديدة ماثيوس غونسالفيس وأبعدها لركلة زاوية، وكاد نواف الغميليش أن يمنح التعادل لفريقه الشباب عندما انفرد بالحارس ميندي وسدد كرة أرضية مرت بجوار القائم، وإثر تدخل قوي من مدافع الشباب محمد الشويرخ تجاه اللاعب انزو ميلوت منحه الحكم الأرجنتيني نيكولاس راميريز البطاقة الحمراء المباشرة (د: 77)، وتمكن الشباب من إدراك التعادل بعد تمريرة ذكية من ياسين عدلي لزميله كاراسكو الذي كسر مصيدة التسلل ولعبها عرضية أرضية ليسددها جوش براونهيل تجاه المرمى وأكملها لاعب الأهلي ماتيو دامس في المرمى كهدف أول وتعادل للشباب (د: 87)، لينتهي اللقاء بالتعادل بهدف لكل منهما.
وبهذه النتيجة، يحقق الأهلي تعادله الثالث ويصل للنقطة التاسعة، وسيلاقي في الجولة القادمة مضيفه النجمة، فيما حقق الشباب تعادله الثاني ووصل للنقطة الخامسة، وسيواجه في الجولة القادمة ضيفه ضمك.

The Al-Ahli team squandered a valuable victory against their guest Al-Shabab after they drew with one goal each in the match held at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, as part of the fifth round of the Roshan Saudi Professional League.
Al-Ahli took the lead first through Ivan Toney from a penalty kick (24'), before Al-Shabab equalized through Matteo Dams' own goal (87'), despite Al-Shabab player Mohammed Al-Shuwairkh receiving a direct red card (77').
The match witnessed a strong start from Al-Ahli, with Riyad Mahrez delivering a high cross that Ziad Al-Juhani headed, but Brazilian goalkeeper Marcelo Grohe managed to catch the ball. Al-Ahli was able to take the lead early after Ivan Toney was awarded a penalty and successfully converted it himself (15'). Al-Shabab managed to score an equalizer through their defender Wesley Hodeit, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
In the second half, goalkeeper Edouard Mendy excelled in saving a shot from Mohammed Al-Shuwairkh, deflecting it to a corner kick. On the other side, Marcelo Grohe shone in saving a shot from Matheus Gonsalves, pushing it away for a corner. Nawaf Al-Ghamilash nearly gave his team Al-Shabab the equalizer when he broke away from goalkeeper Mendy and shot a ground ball that went past the post. Following a strong challenge from Al-Shabab defender Mohammed Al-Shuwairkh on player Enzo Milot, Argentine referee Nicolas Ramirez issued a direct red card (77').
