توقّع المركز الوطني للأرصاد في تقريره عن حالة الطقس اليوم (الأحد)، استمرار فرص هطول أمطار رعدية متوسطة إلى غزيرة تؤدي إلى جريان السيول، ومصحوبة بزخات من البرد على أجزاء من مناطق جازان وعسير والباحة ومكة المكرمة.
وأشار المركز إلى أن الأمطار ستكون خفيفة إلى متوسطة على أجزاء من منطقة المدينة المنورة، فيما تنشط الرياح السطحية المثيرة للأتربة والغبار على أجزاء من المناطق المتأثرة بالأمطار، وكذلك على أجزاء من منطقة الرياض.
ضباب على سواحل مكة والشرقية
وتوقع التقرير استمرار فرص تكوّن الضباب خلال الليل وساعات الصباح الباكر على الأجزاء الساحلية من منطقتي مكة المكرمة والشرقية.
البحر الأحمر
وعلى البحر الأحمر، تكون الرياح السطحية شمالية غربية إلى شمالية بسرعة تتراوح بين 20 و43 كيلومتراً في الساعة على الجزء الشمالي، وشمالية غربية إلى شمالية بسرعة تتراوح بين 20 و45 كيلومتراً في الساعة على الجزء الأوسط.
وفي الجزء الجنوبي، تكون الرياح جنوبية غربية إلى شمالية غربية بسرعة تتراوح بين 15 و30 كيلومتراً في الساعة، وقد تتجاوز 50 كيلومتراً في الساعة مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة.
ويتراوح ارتفاع الموج بين متر ومترين على الجزء الشمالي، وبين متر ومترين ونصف على الجزء الأوسط، فيما يتراوح بين نصف متر ومتر ونصف على الجزء الجنوبي، وقد يتجاوز مترين مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة.
وتكون حالة البحر متوسط الموج على الجزء الشمالي، ومتوسط الموج إلى مائج على الجزء الأوسط، وخفيفاً إلى متوسط الموج على الجزء الجنوبي، يصل إلى مائج مع تكوّن السحب الرعدية الممطرة.
الخليج العربي
وعلى الخليج العربي، تكون الرياح السطحية جنوبية غربية إلى شمالية غربية بسرعة تتراوح بين 10 و25 كيلومتراً في الساعة على الجزء الشمالي، وجنوبية شرقية إلى شمالية شرقية بالسرعة ذاتها على الجزء الجنوبي.
ويتراوح ارتفاع الموج بين نصف متر ومتر، فيما تكون حالة البحر خفيف الموج.
The National Center of Meteorology expected in its weather report today (Sunday) that there will be continued chances of moderate to heavy thunderstorms leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail showers in parts of the Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions.
The center indicated that the rain will be light to moderate in parts of the Medina region, while surface winds stirring up dust and sand will be active in areas affected by the rain, as well as in parts of the Riyadh region.
Fog on the Coasts of Makkah and the Eastern Region
The report anticipated continued chances of fog formation during the night and early morning hours along the coastal areas of the Makkah and Eastern regions.
The Red Sea
On the Red Sea, surface winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds ranging from 20 to 43 kilometers per hour in the northern part, and northwesterly to northerly at speeds ranging from 20 to 45 kilometers per hour in the central part.
In the southern part, winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly at speeds ranging from 15 to 30 kilometers per hour, and may exceed 50 kilometers per hour with the formation of thunderstorm clouds.
Wave heights will range from one to two meters in the northern part, from one to two and a half meters in the central part, and from half a meter to one and a half meters in the southern part, and may exceed two meters with the formation of thunderstorm clouds.
The sea condition will be moderate in the northern part, moderate to rough in the central part, and light to moderate in the southern part, reaching rough with the formation of thunderstorm clouds.
The Arabian Gulf
In the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly at speeds ranging from 10 to 25 kilometers per hour in the northern part, and southeasterly to northeasterly at the same speed in the southern part.
Wave heights will range from half a meter to one meter, while the sea condition will be light.
