A former board member of Al-Ittihad Club, Khalid Tamirak, described the achievement of the Saudi national team in qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada as a result of the unlimited support for sports from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He emphasized that the Saudi national team has proven the strength of Saudi football and its presence in the World Cup for the seventh time and the third consecutive time.
Tamirak praised the interest and follow-up of the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Faisal, and the President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mashal, as well as their commitment to providing all the resources that contributed to creating the wonderful atmosphere that led the team to qualify for the World Cup.
He also commended the support and encouragement from the sports fans for the Saudi national team, which contributed to the players showing high morale and overcoming the matches against Indonesia and Iraq in the Asian playoff, leading to their qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
