أكد المتحدث باسم فريق إشبيلية الإسباني باكو ريكو لـ«عكاظ» تجديد عقدَي الشقيقين السعوديين عبدالله وخالد الجعرافي، وتصعيدهما للمشاركة مع فريق إشبيلية «ج» في دوري الدرجة الخامسة الإسباني.
وقد انضم الشقيقان إلى فريق إشبيلية الإسباني الموسم الماضي، ومثّلا فريق إشبيلية «د»، وقدّما مستويات مميزة أهلتهما للاستمرار مع الفريق وتجديد العقدين قبل تصعيدهما للمرحلة الأعلى. لعب عبدالله وخالد في صفوف إشبيلية «د» الموسم الماضي، والآن يتخذان خطوة متقدمة للانضمام إلى الفريق المشارك في دوري الدرجة الخامسة الإسباني (Tercera RFEF). في الأسابيع القليلة الماضية، انخرط اللاعبان في التدريبات تحت قيادة المدير الفني ماركو غارسيا، ضمن التحضيرات للمنافسة في البطولة. كان الأخوان الجعرافي من أبرز اللاعبين الذين لفتوا الأنظار في موسمهما الأول مع إشبيلية «د». قدّم الثنائي أرقاماً مميزة تحت إشراف المدرب أوسكار أولومو، وتألق المهاجم عبدالله الجعرافي بتسجيله 15 هدفاً في 22 مباراة، في حين شارك مدافع الفريق خالد الجعرافي في 17 مباراة سجّل خلالها هدفاً واحداً.
وأكد باكو ريكو في تصريحه لـ«عكاظ» أن الإحصاءات الرسمية للموسم الماضي تعكس الأداء القوي للشقيقين، ما أثمر عن نيلهما هذه الخطوة المتقدمة في مسيرتهما الكروية، وبدء المنافسة في المستوى الخامس من كرة القدم الإسبانية مع الفريق الرديف الثاني لنادي إشبيلية.
