Al Nassr coach Ange Postecoglou confirmed that he takes full responsibility for the defeat. This came during the press conference following the team's loss to Al Ain in the AFC Champions League, which ended with a clean four-goal victory for the Emirati side.
He said in the press conference held after the match: "I announce my full acceptance of the difficult loss to Al Ain, and I do not hold the players responsible for the result."
He added: "We are suffering from a congested match schedule at the moment, which is one of the main reasons for the difficulty of the encounter and its impact on performance. He continued: "The criticisms directed at the team and the coaching staff after this result are justified, and the journalists are also right. The coach bears responsibility when the result is like this, but we need to work and review the mistakes for the upcoming challenges."
He further stated: "The players gave everything they had, and I do not hold them responsible. Cristiano Ronaldo is a great player, and the responsibility is solely mine."
