Former board member of Al-Ittihad Club, Tarek Al-Shamikh, congratulated King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on the achievement of the Saudi national team qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in (the United States, Mexico, and Canada), praising the wise leadership's support for sports, which contributed to our national team's reaching the World Cup for the seventh time and the third consecutive time. He affirmed the superiority of Saudi football and its commitment to being present on the global stage.
Al-Shamikh considered the attention and follow-up from the Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, and the President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mashal, as well as the provision of all necessary resources for the Saudi team, contributed to preparing the players for the matches against Indonesia and Iraq, which the Green team successfully surpassed to qualify for the upcoming World Cup.
Al-Shamikh praised the effective role of the sports fans and their support for the Saudi national team players, who succeeded in qualifying for the next World Cup and bringing joy to the fans of the Green team.
