يدخل الفريق الهلالي مباراته أمام ناساف كارشي الأوزبكي، ضمن الجولة الثانية من بطولة دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة، وهو يتسلح بسجل مميز أمام الأندية الأوزبكية.
وكان الزعيم بدأ مشواره في دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة بتحقيق الفوز على فريق الدحيل القطري بهدفين مقابل هدف، وقبل انطلاقة لقاء الهلال ضد ناساف كارشي، الذي سيقام في العاصمة الأوزبكية طشقند، فإن الفريق الهلالي يملك سجلاً تاريخياً كبيراً في مواجهاته السابقة أمام الأندية الأوزبكية، حيث فاز في 15 مواجهة خلال 24 مباراة، مقابل 6 تعادلات و3 خسائر فقط.
وقد بدأ الهلال أولى مواجهاته مع أندية أوزبكستان عام 1988، حيث التقى نافباهور ضمن ربع نهائي بطولة آسيا لأبطال الدوري، وفاز «الزعيم» بنتيجة (2-1)، في حين لعب المواجهة الثانية بعد 18 عاماً، حيث لعب أمام ماشال في دوري أبطال آسيا بنظامه الجديد، وحقق الفوز بخماسية نظيفة ذهاباً، قبل أن يخسر 2-1 إياباً في طشقند، ويعتبر فريق باختاكور أكثر الأندية الأوزبكية لعباً أمام الهلال، وجاءت مواجهات الهلال مع الأندية الأوزبكية على النحو التالي:
