تستعد نخبة أندية القارة لانطلاق منافسات مرحلة الدوري من دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة 2025-2026 يوم الإثنين 15 سبتمبر، إيذاناً بانطلاق رحلة جديدة نحو المجد القاري في الموسم الجديد، ويمثل الوطن فيها كل من الأهلي (حامل اللقب) والهلال والاتحاد.
ويعود 11 فريقاً من موسم 2024-2025 للمشاركة في النسخة الـ23 من البطولة الأهم على صعيد الأندية الآسيوية، فيما تسجّل ثلاثة أندية ظهورها القاري الأول، وهي؛ غانغوون من جمهورية كوريا، وميتيدا زيلفيا الياباني، وتشينغدو رونغتشنغ الصيني.
ويسعى الأهلي للحفاظ على اللقب الذي تُوّج به للمرة الأولى قبل أكثر من أربعة أشهر فقط، وهو واحد من خمسة أبطال سابقين ضمن قائمة المشاركين الـ24 في هذه النسخة، إذ يبدأ حملة دفاعه عن لقبه عند تمام الـ9:15 من مساء الإثنين 15 سبتمبر على ملعب الإنماء بمدينة الملك عبدالله بجدة بمواجهة ناساف الأوزبكي بطل الدوري المحلي لعام 2024، وتعد هذه هي المشاركة الـ14 للأهلي والسابعة لفريق ناساف، مع تفوق سعودي في المواجهات السابقة (فوزان وتعادل).
فيما يتطلع الهلال (وصيف النسخة قبل الماضية، وبطل 2019 و2021) للوصول إلى النهائي السادس في تاريخه من خلال مشاركته الـ20 (رقم قياسي) إذ يبدأ مشواره عند تمام الـ9:15 من مساء الثلاثاء 16 سبتمبر على استاد المملكة أرينا بالرياض أمام الدحيل القطري الذي يُشارك للمرة الـ13، وكان قد وصل الدور قبل النهائي عام 2022.
ويأمل الاتحاد (بطل الدوري والكأس في السعودية 2024-2025) في ظهوره الـ13 أن يحقق اللقب للمرة الثالثة، بعد أن سبق له التتويج مرتين (2004 و2005)، ويستهل مشواره بمواجهة مضيفه الوحدة الإماراتي (بطل الدوري 4 مرات) الذي يبدأ مشاركته الـ11 والأولى منذ 2021 بملاقاة الاتحاد عند تمام الـ8:00 من مساء الإثنين 15 سبتمبر على استاد آل نهيان في أبوظبي.
فيما يفتتح الشارقة الإماراتي ظهوره السادس في البطولة القارية بمواجهة الغرافة القطري عند الـ5:45 مساءً على استاد الشارقة. الفريق الإماراتي أنهى الدوري في المركز الثاني بموسم 2024-2025 وتُوّج بكأس البطولة الثانية للاندية في آسيا - دوري أبطال آسيا الثاني، بينما يُشارك الغرافة للمرة الـ11 بعد حلوله ثالثاً في الدوري وفوزه بالكأس المحلية للمرة الثامنة.
أما الشرطة العراقي (بطل الدوري المحلي للمرة الرابعة على التوالي والثامنة في تاريخه)، فيُشارك للمرة السادسة ويستضيف السد القطري على استاد الزوراء ببغداد عند الـ9:15 مساءً. بينما نادي السد (بطل الدوري القطري 18 مرة) يُشارك للمرة الـ18 على المستوى القاري (رقم قياسي لقطر) بعد وصوله للدور ربع النهائي من النسخة الماضية.
شباب الأهلي الإماراتي يُعود للمشاركة بعد غياب منذ 2022، ليخوض ظهوره العاشر عقب تحقيق الثنائية المحلية 2024-2025، ويُواجه نظيره تراكتور الإيراني عند الـ8:00 مساء الثلاثاء 16 سبتمبر على استاد راشد بدبي. في المقابل، يُشارك تراكتور للمرة السابعة قارياً بعد فوزه بلقب الدوري الإيراني لأول مرة الموسم الماضي.

The elite clubs of the continent are preparing for the kickoff of the league stage of the AFC Champions League for the elite 2025-2026 on Monday, September 15, marking the start of a new journey towards continental glory in the new season. The nation is represented by Al-Ahli (the defending champion), Al-Hilal, and Al-Ittihad.
Eleven teams return from the 2024-2025 season to participate in the 23rd edition of the most important tournament at the level of Asian clubs, while three clubs make their continental debut: Gangwon from the Republic of Korea, Mito Hollyhock from Japan, and Chengdu Rongcheng from China.
Al-Ahli seeks to retain the title it won for the first time just over four months ago, and it is one of five former champions among the 24 participants in this edition. It begins its title defense campaign at exactly 9:15 PM on Monday, September 15, at the Al-Inma Stadium in King Abdullah City, Jeddah, against Nasaf of Uzbekistan, the local league champion for 2024. This marks Al-Ahli's 14th participation and Nasaf's seventh, with a Saudi advantage in previous encounters (two wins and one draw).
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal (the runner-up of the previous edition, and champion in 2019 and 2021) aims to reach its sixth final in history through its 20th participation (a record), starting its journey at exactly 9:15 PM on Tuesday, September 16, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh against Al-Duhail of Qatar, which is participating for the 13th time and reached the semifinals in 2022.
Al-Ittihad (the champion of the league and cup in Saudi Arabia 2024-2025) hopes that in its 13th appearance, it can win the title for the third time, having previously won it twice (2004 and 2005). It begins its journey by facing its host Al-Wahda of the UAE (four-time league champion), which is starting its 11th participation and its first since 2021, meeting Al-Ittihad at exactly 8:00 PM on Monday, September 15, at Al-Nahyan Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, Sharjah of the UAE opens its sixth appearance in the continental tournament against Al-Gharafa of Qatar at 5:45 PM at Sharjah Stadium. The Emirati team finished the league in second place in the 2024-2025 season and was crowned the second club championship in Asia - the second AFC Champions League, while Al-Gharafa is participating for the 11th time after finishing third in the league and winning the local cup for the eighth time.
As for Al-Shorta of Iraq (the local league champion for the fourth consecutive time and the eighth in its history), it is participating for the sixth time and hosts Al-Sadd of Qatar at Al-Zawraa Stadium in Baghdad at 9:15 PM. Meanwhile, Al-Sadd (the Qatari league champion 18 times) is participating for the 18th time at the continental level (a record for Qatar) after reaching the quarter-finals of the previous edition.
Shabab Al-Ahli of the UAE returns to participate after an absence since 2022, making its tenth appearance after achieving the domestic double in 2024-2025, facing its counterpart Tractor of Iran at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, September 16, at Rashid Stadium in Dubai. In contrast, Tractor is participating for the seventh time at the continental level after winning the Iranian league title for the first time last season.
