أعلن نادي الاتحاد، اليوم الثلاثاء، إصابة مهاجمه الفرنسي كريم بنزيما خلال مشاركته في تدريبات الفريق.
وقال الاتحاد في بيان عبر حسابه على منصة «إكس»: «تعرض قائد الفريق الأول لكرة القدم كريم بنزيما لإصابة خلال التدريبات، وبدأ على إثرها تنفيذ برنامج علاجي في عيادة النادي بالتنسيق مع الشريك الطبي».
وأضاف البيان: «سيتم متابعة حالته بشكل مستمر خلال فترة التأهيل حتى عودته للمشاركة مع الفريق».
وكان بنزيما قد سجل ثلاثة أهداف (هاتريك) في لقاء النمور بالأخدود بخمسة أهداف مقابل هدفين، في الجولة الافتتاحية من دوري روشن.
الاتحاد يستعد لمواجهة الفتح
ويستعد الاتحاد لملاقاة الفتح يوم الجمعة القادم، ضمن منافسات الجولة الثانية من الدوري السعودي.
ويأمل الفريق بقيادة مدربه الفرنسي لوران بلان في تخطي عقبة الفتح، والسير بخطى ثابتة نحو الحفاظ على اللقب.
The Al-Ittihad Club announced today, Tuesday, the injury of its French striker Karim Benzema during the team's training session.
Al-Ittihad stated in a statement via its account on the "X" platform: "The captain of the first football team, Karim Benzema, sustained an injury during training, and as a result, he has begun a treatment program at the club's clinic in coordination with the medical partner."
The statement added: "His condition will be continuously monitored during the rehabilitation period until he returns to participate with the team."
Benzema had scored three goals (a hat trick) in the match against Al-Akhidood, which ended with five goals to two, in the opening round of the Roshen League.
Al-Ittihad is preparing to face Al-Fateh
Al-Ittihad is set to meet Al-Fateh next Friday, as part of the second round of the Saudi league.
The team, led by its French coach Laurent Blanc, hopes to overcome the challenge posed by Al-Fateh and continue steadily towards retaining the title.
