The English club Sunderland announced the signing of French defender Nordi Mukiele (27 years old) from Paris Saint-Germain, to strengthen the first team during the current summer transfer window, as Mukiele seeks to write a new chapter in England after shining in Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain.

Sunderland's signing of Mukiele is part of the vision of the club's officials to compete more strongly in the Premier League, as the coaching staff works on building a cohesive and strong team to ensure positive results.

Sunderland returned to the Premier League during the current 2025-2026 season, starting its campaign with a valuable victory over West Ham United with a score of (3-0). Nordi Mukiele is considered the 12th signing for Sunderland during the ongoing summer transfer market.

The player expressed his great happiness at signing for Sunderland, in statements published on the official website of the English club, saying: "I feel happy to be here, I am preparing for this new event, the atmosphere in the stadium is exciting, I have seen it, I am here to fight for the fans."

It is worth noting that Mukiele succeeded in winning the league title twice with Paris in 2023 and 2024, along with winning the Champions Cup twice and the Coupe de France once in 2024.
