أعلن نادي إشبيلية الإسباني رسمياً تعاقده مع اللاعب السعودي الشاب عبدالله الجرافي لتعزيز صفوف فريقه الرديف «D» للموسم الجديد، وأكد النادي عبر موقعه الرسمي أن اللاعب سيصل قادماً من تجربة فريدة في كرة القدم الجامعية بالولايات المتحدة.
وذكر النادي الأندلسي في بيانه: «أمضى الجرافي مسيرته الجامعية في جامعة هوارد بالولايات المتحدة، حيث نافس لمدة أربعة مواسم في دوري الدرجة الأولى للرابطة الوطنية لرياضة الجامعات (NCAA)، ولم يقتصر تميزه على الأداء في الملعب فقط، بل شمل أيضاً تفوقه الأكاديمي، حيث تم اختياره في موسمه الأخير ضمن قائمة الشرف الأكاديمية وقائمة شرف العميد، ما يبرز ملفه كرياضي متكامل يجمع بين التفوق الرياضي والعلمي، واكتسب عبدالله الجرافي خبرة دولية قيمة من خلال تمثيله منتخب المملكة العربية السعودية تحت 23 عاماً ضمن برنامج (الصقور السعودية للمستقبل)».
واختتم النادي بيانه: «شارك اللاعب مع المنتخب السعودي في بطولة (كأس الأبطال) الدولية، وهي تجربة صقلت موهبته ومنحته فرصة الاحتكاك بمستويات تنافسية عالية على الساحة الدولية».
الجدير بالذكر أنه سبق أن وقع رئيس نادي إشبيلية خوسيه كاراسكو اتفاقية تعاون مع «صقور المستقبل» في أكتوبر 2024 وقال كاراسكو وقتها: «وقع نادي إشبيلية هذه الاتفاقية مع «صقور المستقبل» أحد أهم ركائز خطتنا الإستراتيجية، وتُعد المملكة العربية السعودية سوقاً ناشئاً ومتزايد الأهمية في عالم كرة القدم، ونرى في هذه الشراكة الإستراتيجية أهمية كبيرة».

The Spanish club Sevilla officially announced its signing of young Saudi player Abdullah Al-Jarafi to strengthen its reserve team "D" for the new season. The club confirmed on its official website that the player will arrive after a unique experience in college football in the United States.
The Andalusian club stated in its announcement: "Al-Jarafi spent his college career at Howard University in the United States, where he competed for four seasons in the NCAA Division I. His excellence was not limited to on-field performance alone, but also included academic success, as he was selected in his final season for the academic honor roll and the dean's list, highlighting his profile as a well-rounded athlete who combines athletic and academic excellence. Abdullah Al-Jarafi gained valuable international experience by representing the Saudi Arabian national team under 23 as part of the 'Saudi Falcons for the Future' program."
The club concluded its statement: "The player participated with the Saudi national team in the international 'Champions Cup,' an experience that honed his talent and provided him with the opportunity to compete at high competitive levels on the international stage."
It is worth noting that Sevilla's president, José Carasco, previously signed a cooperation agreement with "Falcons for the Future" in October 2024, and Carasco stated at the time: "Sevilla FC signed this agreement with 'Falcons for the Future,' one of the key pillars of our strategic plan. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an emerging and increasingly important market in the world of football, and we see great significance in this strategic partnership."
