تتجه أنظار عشاق التنس حول العالم مجددًا إلى العاصمة السعودية الرياض، التي تستعد لاحتضان واحدة من أبرز بطولات التنس العالمية، حيث أعلن رئيس مجلس إدارة الهيئة العامة للترفيه (GEA) المستشار تركي بن عبدالمحسن آل الشيخ، أسماء ستة من نخبة نجوم التنس العالمي لخوض تحدي بطولة «Six Kings Slam» مجددًا ضمن فعاليات موسم الرياض.
وتُقام المنافسات خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 18 أكتوبرالقادم، بمشاركة أفضل اللاعبين في العالم وفق التصنيف الحالي لاتحاد لاعبي التنس المحترفين (PIF ATP).
وكانت الرياض قد شهدت في النسخة الماضية من البطولة حدثًا تاريخيًا، حين توّج المصنف الأول عالميًا وبطل أستراليا المفتوحة، يانيك سينر، باللقب بعد قلب تأخره بمجموعة إلى فوز مثير على بطل رولان غاروس 2025، كارلوس ألكاراز، صاحب خمسة ألقاب كبرى، حيث تأكدت مشاركتهما مجددًا في النسخة الثانية هذا العام.
وينضم إلى الثنائي النجم الصربي وأسطورة التنس نوفاك دجوكوفيتش، المتوج بـ24 لقبًا في بطولات الغراند سلام لفئة الفردي وهو رقم قياسي عالمي، والذي أنهى منافسات العام الماضي في المركز الثالث بعد فوزه في مواجهة تاريخية مشحونة بالعاطفة أمام غريمه الأزلي رافاييل نادال، في آخر لقاء جمع بينهما قبل اعتزال اللاعب الإسباني.
كما تكتمل قائمة أبطال هذا العام بثلاثة وجوه جديدة تخوض المنافسة لأول مرة في بطولة «Six Kings Slam»، يتقدمهم الألماني ألكسندر زفيريف، المتوج بالميدالية الذهبية في أولمبياد طوكيو 2020 وثلاث مرات وصيف البطولات الكبرى، إلى جانب البريطاني جاك دريبر، والأمريكي تايلور فريتز الذي بلغ نهائي بطولة أمريكا المفتوحة العام الماضي، ويشغلان حاليًا المركزين الرابع والخامس عالميًا على التوالي.
وتأتي عودة البطولة لتؤكد مكانة الرياض كوجهة بارزة للفعاليات الرياضية العالمية، في ظل الزخم الكبير الذي يشهده موسم الرياض سنويًا، والاهتمام المتزايد بجذب أبرز الأحداث والنجوم العالميين إلى المملكة.

The eyes of tennis fans around the world are once again turned to the Saudi capital, Riyadh, which is preparing to host one of the most prominent global tennis tournaments. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), Advisor Turki bin Abdulmohsen Al Sheikh, announced the names of six elite stars of world tennis to take on the challenge of the "Six Kings Slam" tournament once again as part of the Riyadh Season events.
The competitions will take place from October 15 to 18, with the participation of the best players in the world according to the current ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (PIF ATP).
Riyadh witnessed a historic event in the last edition of the tournament when the world number one and Australian Open champion, Jannik Sinner, claimed the title after coming back from a set down to achieve an exciting victory over the 2025 Roland Garros champion, Carlos Alcaraz, who has five Grand Slam titles. Both players are confirmed to participate again in this year's second edition.
Joining them is the Serbian star and tennis legend Novak Djokovic, who has won 24 Grand Slam singles titles, a world record, and finished last year's competition in third place after winning a historic and emotional match against his eternal rival Rafael Nadal, in their last encounter before the Spanish player’s retirement.
The list of champions this year is completed by three new faces competing for the first time in the "Six Kings Slam," led by German Alexander Zverev, who won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and has been a three-time runner-up in Grand Slam tournaments, alongside British player Jack Draper and American Taylor Fritz, who reached the final of the US Open last year, currently ranked fourth and fifth in the world respectively.
The return of the tournament reaffirms Riyadh's status as a prominent destination for global sports events, amid the significant momentum that the Riyadh Season experiences annually and the increasing interest in attracting major events and global stars to the Kingdom.
