يخوض المنتخب السعودي لكرة اليد لدرجة الناشئين مواجهة مهمة عندما يلاقي نظيره البرازيلي في استهلالية مشوارهما ضمن منافسات بطولة العالم مواليد 2006 اليوم (الأربعاء).
وتحتضن مصر النسخة الـ11 من البطولة، خلال الفترة من الـ6 وحتى الـ17 من أغسطس الجاري، بمشاركة 32 منتخباً من نخبة منتخبات العالم.
ويبدأ ناشئو الأخضر مشوارهم في البطولة عند الثالثة مساءً، على الصالة الرياضية بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة في مدينة القاهرة.
يذكر أن القرعة أوقعت ناشئي أخضر اليد ضمن منتخبات المجموعة «D» التي تضم إلى جواره منتخبات كل من: البرازيل ـ آيسلندا ـ غينيا.
وكان الأخضر استعد للبطولة بعدد من المعسكرات الداخلية في المنطقة الشرقية، ومعسكرات خارجية في صربيا وسلوفينيا ومصر، والتي ركز خلالها الجهاز الفني على رفع الجاهزية البدنية والفنية، وإجراء مباريات تجريبية ساهمت في تعزيز الانسجام بين اللاعبين.
وتُعد هذه المشاركة هي الظهور الثالث للمنتخب السعودي في تاريخ بطولات كأس العالم للناشئين، بعد أن شارك في نسختي عام 2019، 2023، ويسعى من خلالها لتحقيق نتائج إيجابية ومشرفة تعكس تطور كرة اليد السعودية.
وتضم قائمة الأخضر 20 لاعباً، هم: أحمد العبيدي ـ علي الدرورة ـ علي السني ـ حسن الصفار ـ محمد السيهاتي ـ محمد القايد ـ علي أبو شاهين ـ حسين آل حمدان ـ عبدالله المرهون ـ زكريا طه ـ مهند السيهاتي ـ عبدالله آل سعدون ـ حيدر التاروتي ـ سلمان المعيني ـ أحمد الرمضان ـ فاضل الرمضان ـ عباس العوازم ـ بدر القرني ـ أمجد بيضي وقاسم الخويلدي.

The Saudi national handball team for the youth category is set to face a crucial match when they meet their Brazilian counterparts in the opening of their journey in the 2006 World Championship today (Wednesday).
Egypt is hosting the 11th edition of the championship from August 6 to 17, with the participation of 32 teams from the world's elite.
The young Green team will begin their campaign in the tournament at 3 PM, at the sports hall in the New Administrative Capital in Cairo.
It is worth mentioning that the draw placed the youth team of the Green handball in Group "D," alongside teams from Brazil, Iceland, and Guinea.
The Green team prepared for the championship with several internal training camps in the Eastern Province, as well as external camps in Serbia, Slovenia, and Egypt, during which the coaching staff focused on enhancing physical and technical readiness, and conducting trial matches that helped improve the players' cohesion.
This participation marks the third appearance of the Saudi national team in the history of the Youth World Cup, having participated in the editions of 2019 and 2023, and aims to achieve positive and honorable results that reflect the development of Saudi handball.
The Green team roster includes 20 players: Ahmed Al-Obaidi, Ali Al-Daroura, Ali Al-Sani, Hassan Al-Saffar, Mohammed Al-Sihati, Mohammed Al-Qaid, Ali Abu Shahin, Hussein Al-Hamdan, Abdullah Al-Marhoon, Zakaria Taha, Muhannad Al-Sihati, Abdullah Al-Saadoun, Haidar Al-Tarouti, Salman Al-Muaini, Ahmed Al-Ramadan, Fadel Al-Ramadan, Abbas Al-Awazem, Badr Al-Qarni, Amjad Baydi, and Qasim Al-Khuwaildi.
