أعلن رجل الأعمال الأمريكي جون تكستور أنه سيتنحى عن إدارة نادي ليون الفرنسي بعد هبوطه إلى دوري الدرجة الثانية الفرنسي بسبب وضعه المالي.
وقال تكستور: «نجاحنا على أرض الملعب لم يقابله نجاحنا خارجه».
وأضاف: «سأتراجع عن هذه العملية لدينا بعض الأشخاص والشركاء الذين سيتخذون خطوة للأمام».
وأضاف: «أنا مالك النادي لو كان لديّ مدرب يخوض مباراة خمس مرات متتالية بخطة تكتيكية سيئة لكنت أقلته».
وتابع: «بصفتي المالك الأكبر لشركة إيغل فوتبول، من الواضح أنني لا أحقق النجاح في مجلس إدارة النادي؛ لذا سنوظف بعض الوجوه الجديدة وسنعمل بشكل بناء للغاية مع المجلس».

American businessman John Textor announced that he will step down from managing the French club Lyon after its relegation to the French second division due to its financial situation.
Textor said: "Our success on the field has not been matched by our success off it."
He added: "I will step back from this process; we have some people and partners who will step forward."
He continued: "As the majority owner of Eagle Football, it is clear that I am not achieving success on the club's board; therefore, we will hire some new faces and work very constructively with the board."
