أعلن نادي ضمك الرياضي في محافظة خميس مشيط، تكليف البرتغالي أرماندو إيفانجيليستا، مدرباً للفريق الأول لكرة القدم ابتداء من الموسم الرياضي القادم، خلفاً للمدرب الوطني خالد العطوي الذي تم التعاقد معه في آخر جولات دوري روشن في موسمه الرياضي الماضي، وساهم بشكل كبير في بقاء الفريق ضمن أندية الدوري في الموسم الرياضي القادم.
وجاء تعاقد إدارة ضمك مع المدرب البرتغالي الجديد، صاحب الـ51 عاماً، سعياً لإعادة هيبة الفريق والمنافسة على المراكز المقدمة في دوري المحترفين، وقد بدأ المدرب أرماندو مسيرته التدريبية في 2009، وتولى قيادة 10 أندية سواء على مستوى الفريق الأول أو الرديف أو الناشئين، وكان من أبرزها أندية أروكا البرتغالي، وجيمارايش (تحت 18 عاماً)، وفارزيم، وبينافيل، وفيلافرانكيانسي، وفيزيلا، وفيتوريا جيمارايش.
وكان حساب نادي ضمك في منصة «X» قد اكتفى بنشر مقطع فيديو عن المدرب الجديد دون أن يكشف مدة عقده مع النادي.

The Damac Sports Club in the province of Khamis Mushait announced the appointment of Portuguese Armando Evangelista as the head coach of the first football team starting from the upcoming sports season, succeeding national coach Khalid Al-Attawi, who was contracted during the last rounds of the Roshan League in the previous sports season and played a significant role in keeping the team within the league clubs for the upcoming sports season.
The Damac management's contract with the new Portuguese coach, who is 51 years old, aims to restore the team's prestige and compete for top positions in the Professional League. Coach Armando began his coaching career in 2009 and has led 10 clubs at various levels, including first team, reserve, and youth teams. Among the most notable are the Portuguese clubs Arouca, Guimarães (under 18), Farense, Penafiel, Vilafranquense, Vizela, and Vitória Guimarães.
