أدى النجوم السابقون نجوم الكرة السعودي ، إلى جانب بقية زملائهم اللاعبين، فريضة الحج هذا العام، عن طريق الجمعية الخيرية لرعاية الرياضيين بمنطقة مكة المكرمة، والتي تشرف عليها وزارة الرياضة، إذ تكفلت الجمعية بتمكين 48 لاعباً سابقاً مع أسرهم من أداء فريضة الحج.يأتي ذلك ضمن برنامج «ما نسيناهم» الذي أطلقته الجمعية كأحد برامج رعاية ودعم اللاعبين القدامى وأسرهم، الذي يهدف إلى تقديم حزمة من المبادرات الاجتماعية المختلفة، من أبرزها تمكين اللاعبين المعتزلين من أداء فريضة الحج.وتستهدف الجمعية في المستقبل عدداً أكبر من مستفيدي البرنامج، وفقاً لأهدافها بالارتقاء بالرياضيين وتقديم الخدمات الاجتماعية المختلفة لهم، وبناء نموذج مميز من الوفاء والإخاء في المجتمع الرياضي، القائم على مبدأ عمل الخير، ورسم البهجة والفرحة على وجوه من خدموا الرياضة السعودية في أوقات سابقة.

Former stars of Saudi football, along with their fellow players, performed the Hajj this year through the charitable organization for the care of athletes in the Makkah region, which is overseen by the Ministry of Sports. The organization facilitated the participation of 48 former players and their families in performing the Hajj. This initiative is part of the "We Haven't Forgotten Them" program launched by the organization as one of the support and care programs for former players and their families, aimed at providing a range of various social initiatives, the most notable of which is enabling retired players to perform the Hajj. In the future, the organization aims to target a larger number of beneficiaries of the program, in line with its goals of elevating athletes and providing them with various social services, and building a distinguished model of loyalty and brotherhood in the sports community, based on the principle of doing good and bringing joy and happiness to the faces of those who have served Saudi sports in the past.
