In a candid statement that touches on the core of the crisis within Al-Nassr Club, former appointed president Salman Al-Malik broke his silence, confirming that the club is going through a sensitive phase that requires returning the decision-making to those who understand the value of the entity and have a historical and emotional connection to it.
In a television intervention through the program "Dourina" with journalist Khalid Al-Shneif, Al-Malik spoke from the British capital, London, saying: "Al-Nassr Club should be managed by its own sons... Its real problem is that it is run by individuals with little experience in football, who do not know its intricacies or secrets."
Al-Malik transparently criticized the performance of the profit-making company overseeing the club's management, stating: "Those managing the company do not possess the minimum understanding of football, and they are not familiar with the game, and it is impossible to build a competitive club with mentalities far removed from the field."
The former appointed president emphasized that empowering Al-Nassr supporters within the club's committees and involving them in decision-making has become a necessity, not a luxury. In this context, he said: "The sons of Al-Nassr should be distributed across the working committees in their club. Ignoring them in this manner is unacceptable... It is illogical for Al-Nassr affiliates to be absent from their home while it is being managed from outside."
Al-Malik stressed that the absence of Al-Nassr identity within the administrative framework has contributed to widening the gap between the club and its fans, calling for a restructuring of the administrative framework to be more closely aligned with the history of the entity and closer to its supporters.
Salman Al-Malik's statements come at a time when Al-Nassr fans are witnessing a wave of widespread criticism regarding the performance of the first team, demanding a comprehensive review of the profit-making company's structure and its administrative directions.
