أعلن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم «فيفا» أن رئيسه السويسري جياني إنفانتينو سيترشح لإعادة انتخابه في مارس القادم.
انتقادات حادة لإنفانتينو
وكان إنفانتينو قد تعرض لانتقادات حادة من الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، والاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم، واتحاد أمريكا الشمالية والوسطى والكاريبي (كونكاكاف)، بسبب مقترح مشروع «فيفا فوروارد إنتربرايز»، الذي كان يقضي ببيع حصص في كيان جديد تابع للاتحاد، بقيمة تُقدر بنحو 20 مليار دولار، ورغم تراجع «فيفا» رسمياً عن المقترح، فإن الضغوط على إنفانتينو لا تزال قائمة.
إنفانتينو يترشح لولاية رابعة
وقال متحدث باسم «فيفا»، اليوم (الأحد)، إن جياني إنفانتينو سيترشح لإعادة انتخابه في عام 2027.
18 نوفمبر الموعد النهائي
ويُعد 18 نوفمبر الموعد النهائي لدخول المرشحين في السباق الرئاسي القادم، قبل أربعة أشهر بالضبط من موعد التصويت، وفي حال إعادة انتخاب إنفانتينو، سيستمر في العمل رئيساً للاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم حتى 2031.

Strong Criticism of Infantino
Infantino has faced sharp criticism from the Asian Football Confederation, the European Football Association, and the North American, Central American and Caribbean Football Confederation (CONCACAF) due to the proposed "FIFA Forward Enterprise" project, which involved selling stakes in a new entity affiliated with the federation, valued at approximately $20 billion. Although FIFA has officially withdrawn the proposal, the pressure on Infantino remains.

A FIFA spokesperson stated today (Sunday) that Gianni Infantino will run for re-election in 2027.
November 18 is the Deadline
November 18 is considered the deadline for candidates to enter the upcoming presidential race, exactly four months before the voting date. If Infantino is re-elected, he will continue to serve as president of the International Football Federation until 2031.
