خيّم الحزن على النجم الأرجنتيني ليونيل ميسي، بعد وفاة والده خورخي هوراسيو ميسي عن عمر ناهز 68 عاماً، إثر معاناة طويلة مع المرض، ليتلقى قائد منتخب الأرجنتين واحدة من أقسى الصدمات في حياته.
وبحسب ما نشرته مجلة «هولا» الإسبانية، غادر ميسي فلوريدا على وجه السرعة متوجهاً إلى مسقط رأسه روزاريو، ليكون إلى جانب أسرته في الساعات العصيبة، قبل أن يشارك في مراسم وداع والده وسط أجواء عائلية شديدة الخصوصية.

لم يكن خورخي ميسي مجرد أب للنجم الأرجنتيني، إذ رافقه منذ خطواته الأولى في عالم كرة القدم، وتولى إدارة جانب كبير من مسيرته، وظل لسنوات ممثله ومستشاره وأحد أبرز الأشخاص تأثيراً في رحلته الكروية.
وذكرت المجلة أن ميسي اضطر، بعد ساعات قليلة من تلقي نبأ الوفاة، إلى مواجهة لحظة الوداع الأخيرة للرجل الذي شكّل ركناً أساسياً في حياته الشخصية والمهنية.

وجرت المراسم صباح الأحد في مقبرة «باركي إل برادو» بمدينة بيريز القريبة من روزاريو، واقتصرت على أفراد العائلة والدائرة الأقرب إلى خورخي ميسي.
وفرضت العائلة سياجاً من الخصوصية حول مراسم التشييع، وسط إجراءات أمنية مشددة، فيما تجمعت الزهور والرسائل وكلمات المواساة عند أبواب المقبرة، في وداع أخير لوالد أحد أشهر نجوم كرة القدم في العالم.

وكان ميسي قد سارع إلى مغادرة الولايات المتحدة فور علمه بالوفاة، قاطعاً الرحلة من فلوريدا إلى روزاريو للوقوف إلى جانب أفراد عائلته، قبل أن يودع والده الذي ظل ملازماً لمسيرته منذ البدايات وحتى وصوله إلى قمة كرة القدم العالمية.

The family imposed a privacy barrier around the funeral proceedings, amid strict security measures, while flowers, messages, and words of condolence gathered at the cemetery gates, in a final farewell to the father of one of the world's most famous football stars.
