افتتح لياندرو تروسارد التسجيل لمنتخب بلجيكا في الدقيقة 28، ثم أضاف اللاعب نفسه الهدف الثاني للشياطين الحمر في الدقيقة 52.
وأحرز كيفين دي بروين الهدف الثالث للمنتخب البلجيكي في الدقيقة 66، لكن إليجاه جاست قلص الفارق لنيوزيلندا بهدف في الدقيقة 84.
وسرعان ما أعاد روميلو لوكاكو فارق الثلاثة أهداف لبلجيكا بعدها بدقيقتين فقط، قبل أن يوقع أليكسيس ساليمايكيرس على الهدف الخامس في الدقيقة 90+4.

ويتصدر منتخب بلجيكا ترتيب المجموعة السابعة برصيد 5 نقاط، متفوقاً بفارق الأهداف على منتخب مصر الذي تراجع إلى المركز الثاني، ويأتي منتخب إيران في المركز الثالث بـ3 نقاط، بينما يتذيل منتخب نيوزيلندا جدول الترتيب بنقطة واحدة.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for Belgium in the 28th minute, and then the same player added the second goal for the Red Devils in the 52nd minute.
Kevin De Bruyne scored the third goal for the Belgian team in the 66th minute, but Elijah Just reduced the deficit for New Zealand with a goal in the 84th minute.
Romelu Lukaku quickly restored the three-goal lead for Belgium just two minutes later, before Alexis Saelemaekers sealed the fifth goal in the 90+4 minute.
