وقال زلاتان في تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة «لاجازيتا ديلو سبورت» الإيطالية: «عليك اختيار اللاعب الذي صنع الفارق بشكل فردي، وبالنسبة لي كان لامين هو من فعل ذلك».
وتُوج لاعب باريس سان جيرمان الدولي الفرنسي عثمان ديمبيلي، بجائزة الكرة الذهبية 2025، وجاء لامين يامال ثانياً.
وتُوج يامال مع برشلونة في موسم 2024-2025 بالدوري الإسباني، وكأس ملك إسبانيا وكأس السوبر الإسباني، كما تُوج بجائزة «كوبا» لأفضل لاعب صاعد في العالم، خلال حفل «بالون دور» 2025.
