اعتاد ليفربول على الفوز بالأهداف القاتلة ومنذ الجولة الماضية ذاق ليفربول ما كان يفعله بخصومه فبعد خسارته من كريستال بالاس بالهدف القاتل، خسر اليوم (السبت) من مضيفه تشيلسي بالسيناريو نفسه بهدفين لهدف، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على ملعب «ستامفورد بريدج» في قمة منافسات الجولة السابعة من الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.
أحرز هدفي تشيلسي مويسيس كايسيدو (د:9) وإستيفاو (د:90+5)، فيما جاء هدف ليفربول الوحيد عن طريق كودي جاكبو (د:63).
شهد اللقاء سيطرة متبادلة وتمكن تشيلسي من هز شباك ليفربول مبكراً بعد مهارة فردية من مويسيس كايسيدو الذي تلاعب بدفاع ليفربول ومن ثم أطلق تسديدة قوية من على خط منطقة الجزاء لتسكن الشباك (د:9)، وحاول ليفربول العودة للقاء عبر تسديدة أرضية من سوبوسلاي ولكن الدفاع أبعدها، وكاد تشيلسي يضاعف النتيجة بعد تمريرة كوكوريلا لزميله غارناتشو الذي سدد الكرة مباشرةً نحو المرمى لكنها مرت بجوار القائم، ورد ليفربول بهجمة من محمد صلاح لعبها عرضية عالية حولها إيزاك برأسه تجاه المرمى لكنها مرت فوق العارضة، وتمكن ليفربول من إدراك التعادل من كرة عرضية وصلت إلى إيزاك الذي هيأها لزميله جاكبو ليسددها مباشرةً في المرمى هدف وتعادل لليفربول (د:63)، وفي الوقت الذي كانت تتجه المباراة إلى التعادل تمكن إستيفاو من تحقيق الفوز لفريقه تشيلسي بعد أن تلقى تمريرة ذكية من كوكوريلا ليسددها مباشرةً في المرمى هدفاً ثانياً لتشيلسي (د: 90+5)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز البلوز بهدفين لهدف.
وبهذه النتيجة يحقق تشيلسي فوزه الثالث ويصل للنقطة الـ11 في المركز السادس، فيما تلقى ليفربول خسارته الثانية على التوالي وتجمد رصيده عند 15 نقطة ليتراجع للمركز الثاني خلف المتصدر أرسنال.
