وافتتح أرسنال التسجيل في الدقيقة 12، بعدما سدد فيكتور غيوكيريس كرة ارتطمت بالقائم، ليتابعها غابرييل مارتينيلي بتسديدة سهلة داخل الشباك.
وفي الدقيقة الثانية من الوقت بدل الضائع، عزز بوكايو ساكا تقدم أصحاب الأرض بهدف ثانٍ، بعد تسديدة قوية من الجهة اليسرى داخل منطقة الجزاء.
بهذا الانتصار، رفع أرسنال رصيده إلى 6 نقاط ليحتل المركز الخامس في جدول الترتيب، بينما تجمد رصيد أولمبياكوس عند نقطة واحدة في المركز الـ29.
وكان أرسنال قد استهل مشواره في البطولة بالفوز على أتلتيك بلباو الإسباني بهدفين دون رد، في حين تعادل أولمبياكوس سلبياً مع بافوس القبرصى.
