أعلن صامويل أومتيتي، مدافع نادي برشلونة السابق، وبطل كأس العالم مع منتخب فرنسا 2018، اعتزاله كرة القدم «رسمياً».
حان وقت الوداع
وكتب أومتيتي عبر حسابه على موقع «إنستغرام»: «بعد مسيرة حافلة بالنجاحات والإخفاقات، حان وقت الوداع، بذلتُ قصارى جهدي بشغف، ولا أندم على شيء».
وأضاف المدافع الفرنسي: «أود أن أشكر جميع الأندية والرؤساء والمدربين واللاعبين الذين عملت معهم».
مسيرة حافلة
وكان أومتيتي البالغ من العمر 31 عاماً، الذي ساعد برشلونة في الفوز بلقبين في الدوري الإسباني وثلاثة ألقاب في كأس ملك إسبانيا، بلا نادٍ منذ رحيله عن فريق ليل في الدوري الفرنسي بنهاية الموسم الماضي.
ولعب أومتيتي 31 مباراة دولية مع فرنسا، وشارك في بطولة أوروبا التي أقيمت على أرضه عام 2016، كما سجل أربعة أهداف دولية منها هدف الفوز في المباراة التي انتهت بفوز فرنسا على بلجيكا 1-0 في نصف نهائي كأس العالم 2018.

Umtiti wrote on his Instagram account: “After a career filled with successes and failures, it’s time to say goodbye. I gave my all with passion, and I have no regrets.”
The French defender added: “I would like to thank all the clubs, presidents, coaches, and players I have worked with.”
A Remarkable Career
Umtiti, who is 31 years old, helped Barcelona win two La Liga titles and three Copa del Rey trophies, and has been without a club since leaving Lille in the French league at the end of last season.
Umtiti played 31 international matches for France and participated in the European Championship held in his home country in 2016. He also scored four international goals, including the winning goal in the match that ended with France defeating Belgium 1-0 in the semifinals of the 2018 World Cup.
